Qantas Store 20% off Audio Sale - Bose QC35 57,610 (Normally 72,000)

120

Normally 72k, but 20% off at the Qantas Store. Decent price considering the Qantas points on offer on many credit cards. Picked up my QC35's for the same points sale last year.

Few other audio goodies on sale, but I'm not sure on value for money on other items.

    Thanks OP. Not a bad price if anyone's thinking of converting points to a Myer or David Jones gift card. Redeeming a gift card yields approx 0.6 cents/point. Assuming you could buy the QC35 at $369, it also converts to around 0.6 cents/point. Of course there are much better conversion rates to be had using points to upgrade flights. The QC35's have also been 51,000 points before in a recent QANTAS sale.

    • Yeah I think I got mine for 51k. 57k not bad though still.

        How do you find the QC35's? Have been hesitant to take the plunge myself as my ears get warm really easily with over-ear haedphones.

          Noise cancelling is simply stunning. I'm wearing them daily on my train commute and I'm lucky to hear the announcements over the PA on the train. Loving it.

          I can also wear them in front of the TV watching netflix on my iPad while my wife watches the TV with the volume on, and I can barely hear the TV. Works really well :P (how sad are we!!)

          As many of the reviews point out, they are not a pure audiophile headphones. The quality is good but not elite. I find for my casual spotify tunes or a spoken podcast they are really good. But certainly no audio enthusiast will rave about them. But they are nice and bassy which i like.

          I also find occasionally I get a blip cutout from the bluetooth if my phone is in my pants pocket and I turn a certain way, but not that often, and usually my phone is in my hand on the train playing mario or surfing ozbargain. Blutooth doesn't travel well through water (the human body).

          Battery life is excellent, I'm only having to recharge every 2 weeks of commuting 30 mins each way.

        • @Skramit: which mario app is this??

          @Innamura

          Same feedback as Skramit! And not much you can do with bluetooth issue.

          The sound quality is ok but not great though. If you are not buying these for NC, I would suggest look for something else. I got it primarily for NC.

          @justin_tsoi:

          Mario for iOS. Its new and awesome

        • @Skramit: Thanks Skramit, Lostinsydney. Do the earphones get hot after a while?

        • +1

          @Innamura:

          Not really. On a hot day if you're hot they will amplify the hot ears thing but it's not something I've noticed.

    • I saw they recently nerfed the flight-upgrade value of points so not sure if upgrades are still"best use"?
      Thanks Op, btw

      • A small nerf to points upgrades true, but still the best points value when you work out the cost difference of business or first class upgrades vs economy tickets.

  • Hi Skramit
    How do I avail 20% off on Bose QC 35?
    When I clicck on the link or the photo it takes me to Qantas site and when I search for the item it shows 72,550 points.
    Could you please assist?
    Kind regards
    Sunny.

    • It might have ended….

      • Yep it's over…
