Really good premium quality portable monitor with excellent image quality. 16:10 aspect ratio means it's great for work. Runs off a single USB-C cable and built to be very light for its size. Japanese import, but not an issue since the monitor doesn't use a wall socket. Lowest price I've found in Australia is $409.

        Not sure if it's going to be a problem with this model, but I haven't ever had any luck connecting consoles (PS, Sw, XB) to USB-C only portable monitors. Steam deck is fine because USB-C to USB-C works fine.

        I believe it's to do with HDMI -> USB-C direction, where data only flows from the HDMI out to USB-C input. I've tried several USB-C to HDMI cables with no luck.

        This is not a gaming monitor - response rate is too low. You’d want a more expensive asus model for that.

      No idea. I use it as part of my portable office setup for remote work. That’s what it’s designed for I guess, and it provides a huge productivity boost. Oh, and when I’m home I just have it on my desk as an extra screen. Image quality of this one easily matches that of many non-portable monitors.

      I need one for my treadmill just because my laptop's whole body too big for the holder. But I also want somewhat bigger than 15-16", maybe somewhere 24-30" would be in sweet spot.

      I have it. I use one portable monitor for work from home and gaming on top of my main. It's much more practical when travelling too. These screens are good. I got a 4k one and a 2k one.

      I wonder if it's an issue with that person's specific setup, for example if they were connecting to it via a USB-C dock that only supports 1080p passthrough. A quick Google search suggests it should work fine with Macs.

      However, there's another consideration for Macs I found while looking this up:

    I purchased the Uperfect 2k monitor for $180 from this deal
    It seems very similar in spec, image is fantastic, works with a single USB-C (or alternatively with PD power and mini hdmi) and weighs 737g
    LG build quality is expectedly a higher level, but not sure if I would pay twice the amount for this one.

        It works well - even does Samsung Dex with my phone (S20 FE) @QHD.
        Usually I bring it out at my desk (using the magnetic stand that came with it) when I am using something as well as my mini PC at my desk - phone, laptop, rpi, SBC like the rock 5b and so on.
        I generally have a PD cable available at my desk for power.
        When out and about I use with my Baseus 100W battery pack or one of the GaN 65W power plugs.
        Eventually I may use it with a desk mount if the need arises (it has a 75mm VESA mount on the back)
        Screen is clear and bright, QHD resolution is useful.

          How do you connect it to your S20? Using one USB-C to USB-C cable to connect the two devices, and then power the monitor using the other USB-C port?
          Does the phone get power via that connection to the monitor?

            @Averell: I wasn't expecting it to work but it can work with just one cable, powering the screen from the phone, but this will drain the battery faster (I think this is a recent improvement because when I first tried it with the phone I needed to power the screen separately.Maybe the one UI update changed it somehow).
            Laptop and mini pc both work with just one cable to the screen, can either power theu the screen or the device, PD and video/sound together over usbc.

            Anyhow it came with 2 usbc cables, the usual way is to power via USB-C to the screen with one cable then connect the second USB-C cable to the device (phone, laptop) pi needs the screen powered and connects via mini/micro hdmi.

              Yes, I doubt that my phone could provide enough power to the monitor. That's why I'm expecting the other way around of the power supply - from the power socket to the monitor to the phone.

      Unless you use some shit apps that doesn't scale properly I'm not sure why 16:10 is bad for work. A previous workplace used 24" 16:10 monitors exclusively and I had a dual setup, my currently laptop display is 16:10, no issues on either and the extra real estate is good.

        3:2 is a lot better than 16:10 for productivity. it actually makes smaller screens usable. if you think 16:10 is good, 3:2 is a lot better.

    I don't see the appeal for this outside of the LG brand name - and even then this isn't an OLED (LG's main draw), nor 4k.

    For this price, I've be expecting it to be OLED, and the Innocn monitor when it's available is typically less than this albeit 1080p: https://www.amazon.com.au/Portable-Monitor-INNOCN-Touchscree….

    For less than this price, you could get a variety of monitors from aliexpress that have been posted on here that would probably match the specs, at a much cheaper price.

        As you can see it's definately a thing, it'll be long if ever for 16 inch though maybe. My point is that this is overpriced for IPS.

    Generally top end LG LCD panels have great image quality and are noticeably better than most generic options.

    Quite strange to see so many Apples to Oranges comparisons with generic portable monitors.

      Yep. I've seen more budget friendly models out in the wild and they tend to have a washed out look them. This one doesn't have that the iamge quality rivals that of a full size monitor. That plus build quality warrants the premium IMHO.
