    • Still allows online order for me…

  • M1 Air is best value I think.
    How much faster is M2?

    • +3

M2 air 256gb SSD is half the speed of the M1 Air.

      • Not noticeable for light workflows

        • +1

yeah sure, browsing the web you wont notice it however that doesn't mean its not true, they really nerfed the SSD on the base model for some odd reason.

    • I moved from m1 13” base model to an m2 15 with 512/16gb and can’t notice much difference for my usage (I use it for browsing, documents not much photo/video editing). Main advantage for the 15” is bigger screen, it doesn’t weigh much more and it’s very nice to have a bigger screen. Also being a newer model will be supported for longer.

    • Each M chip is usually a good chunk faster than the last.

    • Only 10-15% faster.

    • Better webcam apparently too, if that's important.

    • How much faster is M2?

The question you should be thinking is 'how much longer of security updates will the M2 get'.

As long as you don't click on dodgy links, can hacker randomly attack your PC?
        What are the chances?

This just came out like a month ago dude.

No M3 came out 2 months ago.
This model from the deal is M2

        • My bad. Though the M3 did come last month.

  • This is a good price too bad OOS :(

    256g ssd only half speed

  • Damn

I wonder if the specs are a typo. The M2 never came with a stock 16/256 configuration. You can only get that through custom build to order.

    • Officeworks have been stocking this spec for a while

Dang, oos, would have bought this in a second. First actual decent price I’ve seen for a 15 inch I’ve seen.
