Amaysim appear to no longer offer the 60GB year plan and those already on it may or may not be successful negotiating down from their $120 or may or may not receive a discount if they have opted out of auto-renewal… so with those uncertainties out of the way, Catch have 60GB for $99, without the hassle.

how long before the expiry of the plan did u get the offer? I have almost exactly 1 month left on the same 60 gig $60 Amaysim plan from a year ago (with $6-7 cashback no less) and can only dream of that kind of deal now… like everything it has gotten much more expensive : (

i got renewal but it was $150 not 90
my amaysim $60 60gig 365 expired recently, hop on live chat to do better than kogan recent deal $100 for 120gig. at first they couldn't and say best is 25% off but with a little persistence they gave me another $60 60gig for another yr! So i stayed with Amaysim, plus ur data rolls over too if same plan.
I told them to do it and compared with catch connect and also told them about cashback etc but they declined… What time and day did you try talking to them ?

So Ive got an $18 discount already and mine doesnt renew till December
But ignoring this catch deal, Amaysim's $120 60GB plan is the cheapest, best value, 365 day plan on the market!
Alongside "Catch" of course at the same renewal price.
Either is a good deal today at either $99 or $120 considering there is no other option that comes close
The site says you have to activate the plan within 30 days and the SIM within 24 months…does the 365 days start from plan activation or SIM activation?

When you activate the sim, no plan is activated but just sim. They give you instructions, usually a number to enter to activate the plan after you have activated the sim. You can actuvate plan later.
Huh? When I activated mine the plan was activated at the same time, there were no other options.
I was on the 60gb Amaysim plan with it due to expire towards the end of this month.
I messaged Amaysim to see what offers they had and I already had the $90 voucher from last year sitting to be used again.
I assume this will be ok to activate and then chuck in an iPad. Can’t see anything that says otherwise.

From experience, don't put a Mobile eSim in a data only device like iPad/Tablet. If you ever need to transfer devices or get confirmation SMS when porting they don't come through.
I prefer physical SIM for this reason, just move it into my phone or a spare phone - get the SMS code etc and then put it back in the iPad/Tablet.

@0jay: My point not really about keeping number, more if need to transfer esim between devices or when cancelling the service - usually involves SMS to be received. Easier to do so with a physical SIM then.

On March, they discounted this plan to $85/89. Now it is $99. There is no sincerity if they wouldn't give 60G bonus Data.

You must activate your chosen prepaid plan on catchconnect.com.au or on the Catch Connect App within 30 days of purchase or by the date advertised on the promotion (whichever is earlier). Additionally, you must activate your Catch Connect SIM card within 24 months of purchase, otherwise the SIM card will be cancelled and any credit associated with it will be forfeited. Not transferable or redeemable for cash
You can activate it after 30 days (I did it myself recently), the 30 days from purchase is for advertised inclusions.
I feel like if you have until December though maybe you can wait for a better deal?

This deal is plop, im surprised its got 49+ am i missing something?… Kogan were sellling 120GB plan for $100. i snagged one with 10$ off code - making it $90 I think was a good deal. Its not 5G but 4G is good enuff.. if you need '5G' then look at Vodafone plans for $150 - 240GB deals with 2000 ebp.
Personally, the difference between 4G and 5G especially on a network like Voda is quite negligible for the data that you are actually consuming. Media will still stream fast on 4G vs 5G and i doubt anyone needs to be streaming 4K vid chew thru 10 gb in 3 mins but if you are Helbent in 5G poping up on your screen giving you such satisfaction is worth the extra $$ then $150 voda deal is probably the best your gona find.
If Optus is the stronger carrier than Catch is preferred. Looks like you like Vodafone. Everyone's needs a different mate.

I just rang them and they said that you can activate the SIM for 12m and that when you activate the SIM it activates the plan. I have 3-4 mth left on old plan so will see what happens…I said they may want to reword their website as it is confusing.
Lost my Aus boost sim card overseas and I'm still overseas. Ordered this 2 days ago, hoping to change carriers from boost to catch since my 365 prepaid plan expired just a few days go. Also this would be me getting a replacement sim while I'm at it. I should be due home in 36hours, any perthies care to comment how long it took to take delivery of the sim card pack?
