    • And how exactly what you think impacts this deal?

      • -1

I wanted to say this is a good deal as GPU itself is 1800, CPU 900 or so, so altogether this is a good deal.

        • Not true see the table below

          GPU = $1700
          CPU = $850

          • +1

@sludo: So even with corrected pricing above this does seem like a deal as the MB goes for about treefiddy currently… Happy to be corrected

14900k….. assume BIOS updated? what about stress test? what setting was applied?

FYI: there's big drama going on right now with Intel stability / degradation on Raptor Lake i9s (Raptor Lake = 13/14th gen Intel architecture code name)

    https://www.hwcooling.net/en/unstable-raptor-lake-cpus-on-th…

    • I was having some crashing issues w/ my new techfast rig but I'm fairly sure it was because my dumb ass forgot to install nvidia drivers after a clean install.

    • wasn't that only for Unreal Engine ? I saw somewhere like that. I haven't felt any stability issues with my 13900K but I am running at 288 W.

      • because the way unreal engine coded require a lot of data calculation, and that revealed the instability intel have.

        It's not a code bug, it's a hardware instability.

        • does this happen with RE5 only or RE4 as well ?

          • @bazingaa: depends on silicone lottery, if you had a slightly worse chip, it happens in a lot of scenario, e.g. Cinabench, Call of Duty, BattleField, Cyberpunk, list goes on.

            • @OMGJL: oh that's bad! I use this as a ML workstation and I have bit undervolt + 288 W PL. I played Tekken 7 (RE4) recently and it worked well.

Brought the i9-14900KF + 4080 super from the previous techfast deal. Cant comment on the gaming performance but I have used it for video editing(Adobe premier pro) and coding tasks(apps open simultaneously) and haven't faced any issues as yet.

    • This might not be an issue with the CPUs themselves, but more of an issue with a number of mobo manufacturers standard BIOS settings pushing the CPU beyond its spec.

      • yes and no… the new baseline profile had a huge cut in performance, but that's still not enough for some CPUs. In extreme cases if the CPU frequency boosted too high before hitting the power limit/temperature limit, it could still crash…

With new profile i9 can't even boost to their designed all core frequency anymore depends on the work load.

or put it this way —— no power limit in BIOS happens since basically forever…. when 9900k released the power requirement was getting quite extreme for that time, didn't see it crash with no power limit. 10900k added 2 more core and uses the same architecture as 9900k, didn't see that crash either.

intel knew power limit is not enforced all these years.

coming as a owner of 13700k, I know how finicky this thing is. Without apply correct load line calibration and static frequency/voltage, I can't even stabilize high XMP profiles.. My CPU isn't "bad" in terms of silicone lottery as my static frequency doesn't require much voltage.. it is just how it is… intel tried too hard trying to win AMD.

(disclaimer: no one have to trust me, this is a buyer be aware sort of message. I wish people don't end up with doggy computer problem)

Solid offer… My plan was to hold out to the 5xxx series but after laying it out in PCPP its really damn tempting…

@luketechfast could you do a 64gb RAM variant with the TechFast Leaper Edge Tank RGB ATX Case for <= $3k ?

  • +4

Any chance you could offer this without the video card included?

    • Same question. I am not a gamer.

  • +1

Anyone else having issues applying the code?

    • I think so… just drops postage to zero and offers no discount.

    • Yeah @luketechfast the code you’ve put for this one doesn’t work.

    • It's working for me? Anyone having issues still?

      • Is working now, thanks! Wasnt working 30 minutes ago though.

      • Seems to be working.

Can we get the Leaper Edge Tank ATX RGB fishtank style case for this one as an option?

  • +1

4070ti super deal please like the high $1800 one @luketechfast

  • Can we get same configuration without GPU.

    • Can look at it but K only chips aren't generally as available as KF

      • Thank you. Would love to get the quote if that’s possible.

  • How about this with 14900KS and no graphics card?
    I'm running an i7 8700k with a 3080 12gb, don't need a new card, it's good enough. Everything else needs replacing

    • The KS isn't worth offering imo

      • Or 14900K… I'd have pulled the trigger at least 3 times if there was an option to remove GPU.

        • Getting quite a few requests for K. Just need to figure out if feasible with Ops team.

  • XD. It's already the 11th business day since I bought the same specification of $2888. It was already a big blow, but I didn't expect to have a second back stab. The price changes, not much but does happen. Plz tell me something good…

    • +1

We honor price drops on unshipped orders at identical spec

  • +2

+1 on offering something more editing/process/task focussed. Better quality RAM/SSD/Mobo with a lower level graphics card if possible for under the 3k mark still.

  • +2

@luketechfast Hey, it seems none of your codes across all the deals work, it only gets rid of postage costs

    edit: seems to work now

  • 7950x3D version?

  • Hi guys, does this motherboard (MSI Pro Z790-P WiFi motherboard) come with a wifi 6e and bluetooth already and we don't have to get the extra AX1800 (1800Mbps) Dual-Band USB Wi-Fi 6 Adapter ($69.00) or 600Mbps USB Wi-Fi Adapter ($39.00)?
    Thanks

  • Was saving up for the April deal but ended up missing out. Any chance of us getting the leaper edge tank as an option for this deal too? That case is a pretty major selling point for me and seems to be offered on a couple of other deals this month.

    • @luketechfast, re the above. I'd love to have the leaper edge tank as an option for this deal. Is it possible to add?

    • We can do yep, same price. Best handled by purchasing this and requesting case swap via [email protected] please.

      • that's lovely, looks like you guys got another customer :)

  • @luketechfast, does this motherboard (MSI Pro Z790-P WiFi motherboard) come with a wifi 6e and bluetooth already and we don't have to get the extra AX1800 (1800Mbps) Dual-Band USB Wi-Fi 6 Adapter ($69.00) or 600Mbps USB Wi-Fi Adapter ($39.00)?
    Thanks

    • +1

Yes, I believe it has WiFi 6e and Bluetooth 5.3.

To answer your question you won't need to get the adapters to use WiFi.

    • +1

      @DKZ370 is correct here.

  • I bought this deal today, really unbelievable price, it will cost $3500 if I buy all the parts by myself. Fingers crossed this PC works well:)
    Thanks for @luketechfast

Anyone knows how Techfast can get the price so cheap?

    • I bought it weekend before last. It’s a pretty good deal! In build today 🙌.
