Buy quick before they move it to “Console” then code will stop working. Happened before to the PS Portal.

No way 1K for a handheld, get outta here

    • +1

this doubles as a laptop though…kinda

    • A handheld that you can dock as a full work PC. Good timing, not long until tax time ;)

    This or steam deck oled?

    • +3

Probably this for better performance, Steam deck for a bit more ease of use and better battery life

    • +4

Had both and personally landed on SD OLED. Mainly due to battery life, more stability, sleep mode and ergonomics. I found legion had better performance.

    • +2

Steam deck has better screen, battery life, about equal performance on the go
This has better raw performance (if you plug it into a powersource), detachable handle, and slightly better software compatibility etc
I would suggest steam deck oled for gaming on the go especially if you already have something stationary

    • Just some more food for thought with the other replies. I chose the Go because of Windows and being able to do other things + the big screen. If you JUST want to game and don't mind a smaller screen, the deck would be better.

    • Personally I wouldn't buy a LCD handheld in 2024. I'd go the steamdeck for that reason alone.

    • +1

I love my steam deck … it just so easy. no messing around

  • +2

Worth every dollar imho, awesome device

  • +2

    Can buy 20 miyoo minis

  • Thanks OP. That's a good deal.

I don’t like Lenovo but this one has hall magnetic sticks. Still the touchpads on steam deck are the best solution IMO.

Here for waiting for nintendo switch 2 comment

    • +1

      Nintendo Switch 2… there.

  • Officeworks has dropped the price of the Asus ROG ally today, for those who might be interested $1047.

  • Damn, would grab 2 if they shipped to WA. Misses would love being able to play modded stardew valley on the couch comfortably.

Looks like MWave have it for $1,199 as well until the 12th of May, for all us poor suckers between NT, WA and TAS.

  • This is likely more powerful than what the Switch 2 may turn out to be… price probably not far off as well…

I hope I’m wrong on both fronts.

  • +1

It's $1199 from Lenovo direct as well.

I don't seem to be able to order it, it's showing up as unavailable for my rural NSW postcode. I've tried postcode 3000 to check and it shows unavailable too. Anyone still able to order it?

    • +1

Same here - can't seem to be able to order it. Was thinking price match at OWs but need a screenshot of in stock.

Which is the better buy this or a OLED steam deck? I don’t have a gaming pc or laptop for reference. But may buy one in the future.

    • -1

Steam Deck is a good console like experience, nice screen, but not as powerful and versatile as something with Z1 Extreme peocessor. A handheld with Z1 Extreme processor will be more powerful but come at the cost of battery life, and a Windows experience (like a typical gaming pc would).
