yeah. I was going for the Sydney to Perth return flight for $58. Always wanted to go to WA but the flights were always too expensive so I usually go to Asia instead. Congrats to those that got it.

Perth flights are the obvious winner but I've grabbed BNE/TWN as I want to check it out (despite lots of negative opinions). Getting to the airport will cost more than the flight!

Arrgh… why can't the AFL finalise the fixture for dates in Jul/Aug so I can lock in some of these cheap fares?!? I think the AFL has drunk the OzB juice and assumes all it's supporters are all on 200k+ and can afford full flex fares.

Managed to book a trip to Whitsundays for my parents for $58 return (Ex. Sydney). Haven’t seen these prices since the pre covid Tiger Air days.
They cheekily raised the price of a flight I was about to pay for by 80 bucks. Website is getting hammered, but I think half of that is someone in the background furiously changing prices in real time if a flight is actually desirable. :P
So i booked two flights. One with checked luggage before the website conveniently timed out and changed the price, so my second flight is the same price as the first albeit without checked luggage. classic Jetstar.
Flights work on fare buckets - once these promo fares sell (and they will be selling super fast with only a couple of seats per flight at most) you'll pay more as it will go up to the next bucket.
It's not IT people scurrying away in the background changing the prices. It's just thousands of people booking at once.
Mine makes for a funnier mental image. :P

Did an email go out prior to the sale to Club Jetstar members? I found out about this sale through here. Probably cancel my membership and rely on Ozbargin to advise me of sales lol.
I made a booking and paid via PayID.
My booking cancelled after due to payment didn't go through within the time frame.
I had a chat with the agent, said PayID takes few hours for the first transection.
Now booking's gone.

Yes – I tried loading my Superhero trading account with a few thousand a couple weeks ago. Didn't clear all week. Superhero CS told me that ANZ is notorious for holding onto PayID funds as a 'security measure'.
Now if I ever want to guarantee instant PayID payment, I transfer funds from my ANZ account (via Beem) to my Up Bank account and pay from there.

It's ridiculous that their website can't even handle the load, most $29 flights sold out by the time it even loads and isn't stuck in a deathloop.
