Is this one better than Adidas ultraboost in terms of comfort and durability?

    • +2

Whilst I don't know the actual answer to your question…..

Your question makes, literally, as much sense as:

Is a dog better in terms of comfort and durability as a rainbow.

The UB and these are very, very different shoes, for very, very different purposes.

The UBs are for beginner runners who want crap shoes, or those that wear them casually because they think they look good, or non-serious walkers.

These are for fast trail running.

  • Only small sizes left! Doh

  • I have about 300km on the clock with mine, even for $100 it doesn't interest me. They're the equivalent of a trail racing flat - maybe useful for HM or less fast efforts. I just don't reach for these shoes, I'll wear them when I'm running in puddles because they're light and don't retain water. Make sure you don't wear no-show socks, your heels will get cut up.

Grip isn't special, in the dry you may as well go a road shoe.

I don’t know these shoes but looks like it’s $74.88 at running warehouse for the other colour.

    https://www.runningwarehouse.com/Salomon_S-Lab_Pulsar/descpa…

    • It appears to be the same shoe except in the Vapor Blue/White colour instead of Black.

Also that store is in the USA with US stock and hence it's priced in $USD so it's $74.88 USD ($114 AUD) + $41 USD delivery (total of $177 AUD delivered). So it's a way worse deal.

      • Different tread (soft ground), maybe slightly heavier- I think the same other than that.

This is the better deal. Newer model and the same price. Should have got this one instead

    • Would have been good but it's now sold out.

  • Just got mine delivered. Wished I ordered a 1/2 size smaller. It’s not the easiest shoe to take on and off. Was hoping to use these as a travel shoe as well but I guess I will reserve them for strictly trail running.

I sized up and cant get my foot in them. These are some of the worst shoes I've ever owned.

      • I can get my right leg in, but it's impossible to get the left one in. However, once both are in, they are one of the best shoes I've had for running.

        • Do you run with only your right leg in?

    • Yeah mine just turned up today. I ordered half size up, and still too small. They are a rather narrow fit, so I'll likely be sending them back 🤷
