  • now just need cheap 8gb sd card, anyone got any legit ones going for $5 or less?

    • +5

If you need it as soon as possible, I guess you could sign up to JB perks for the $10 voucher and buy this Samsung Evo Plus 64GB ($15-10 = $5) https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/samsung-evo-plus-64gb-mic…

    • +4

Can get one for free with your free Nokia 110 from Harvey Norman.

I was pleasantly surprised to see it came with an 8gb micro sd

  • Does it have battery to charge with solar panel?

    • +3

No battery, mains only, intended for indoor use.

        Thank you

  • Do these run an RTSP stream to record images/videos to a PC/NAS?

    • +1

Yes but there is no URL for the current still frame so that means there can be a little lag to generate previews from the video stream

    • Yes

  • Got a 2 pack. Thanks OP

  • +2

Waiting for the 2k version to drop price.

Only bugger is changing from a micro-usb (on the old Kasa cameras) to a barrel jack for power.
I assume they are still 5v though?

    • C200 and C211 both use 9V 0.6A according to my adaptor.

C212 uses 5V, according to Amazon.

    • It is rated at 9v but actually works on 5v. I am currently using it on a 5vdc supply

  • anybody uses these as a baby monitor? The add shows that it can be used like this but is it any good for it?

    • +1

We've used a Kasa camera as a baby monitor, still do. Works great. no reason a tapo wouldnt work well either

    • +2

I don't but it's fine for that. In fact, it has baby crying detection as one of the features.

    • +2

They work well for this purpose! 👌

    • +1

Yep I've got a C210 in both kids rooms, perfect for that use IMO. Not sure about 200 vs 210

    • +1

Second using C210 as baby monitors. Got 2. Works a charm

    • I don't think you can have a constant stream open though, only like 10 minutes at a time, right?

      • Sorry, late to the reply. A friend of mine had the same question and so I investigated. You can have constant stream if your camera and streaming device is on the same network.

Mine worked continuously for 40+ mins before I ended the test.

Otherwise, you need to configure the modem port (too technical for me to understand)

Tldr: you can stream continuously but both camera and device must be connected to the same network

  • Thanks Op

  • Thank you OP

  • added 2x 2pack for $138,
still charge me the delivery fee $7.99

  • Anyone know how to integrate tapo product directly to tuya/smart life without going through IFTTT?

  • Got two of the C210 instead, Amazon had extra 10% so it was $88 for 2.

    • +3

I got JB to price match and they ended up giving me the C210 2K 2 packs for $69

      • hold on you got JB to price match the C210 for the price of the C200 2 pack?

        • +5

Yup I did. I rocked up to the store today and was going to get the EUFY. Showed them the Amazon Tapo $69 for 2 and ask if they could do it. They said yes, guy gave me the C210 2 pack for $69.

          • @mywalletneedspanadol: Didn’t you point out saying what’s on Amazon was c200 and not c210?

            • @lightfoot: Honestly, I don't even know anything about C200 or C210. I told the Sales person about the Amazon sale and he said he can offer it to me so i took it.
Mind you, the sales person took a good 10 mins to make me wait whilst he did his research.

  • Do you need to pay any subscription services for these? Or they just record and store?

    • subscription is optional. you still get detection alert/notification for free, and record locally on TF card

  • Question - does this come with the Birdge? I purchased a two pack of different cameras recently - if I purchase this one is it something I just add to that, or am i effectively paying for another bridge? If so it might be better for me to look to buy seperately/second hand for cheaper

    Thanks!

    • You don't need a bridge for this..they are wifi enabled

  • Rate this. Good for spying on my 2 house panthers whilst we’re away.
