    It's garbage, don't bother, honestly.

I have Homebase 2 and some solo cams that are outside so technically someone would be able to steal it and I'd lose footage. Thinking of upgrading to a 3 to rectify that. Can you elaborate what you mean though? So I know if I should not get this. Thanks!

      • I've also upgraded to the 3 and should not have bothered, whatever AI they're trying to sell is rubbish

      worse than the homebase 2?

I'd be interested in upgrading my 2 with a 3. Some of those features are useful.

Ignore useless generalist comments like this with no context, likely user error anyway.

I've had it for over a year paired with 4 S330 cams and the 2K doorbell and works well, no issues.

Checkout the Eufy owners FB groups and you'll see that the majority of people who have issues have Homebase 2.

Obviously this is for people who require a wireless solution, if you can hardwire a system you can have 24 hour recording and faster detections, although I've only experienced maybe 5 seconds delay maximum so had no issue with it.

        • Never had your homebase disconnect itself from your wifi while you're overseas, requiring a manual reboot to fix? Lucky i guess

          • @belongsinforums: I've gor and have put in for family 4 homebase 2 units. they're all super reliable for years in my experiance.

            • @senectus: Mine has disconnected itself many times. The cameras sometimes are so slow that they don't capture someone walking down the driveway but capture someone at the door.

          • @belongsinforums: I've never had it disconnect but I've had it not load the videos and you need to refresh two or three times to get it to work and it's super slow.or the video won't play.

  • I have base 2. But the base 3 comes with facial recognition, person recognition, vehicle recognition and a self-learning algorithm.
Can I upgrade my hombase to 3 only, keep my 2C camera and have all new features?

And Homebase 3 at Bunnings are special order only without stock. Does bunnings beat price as well ?

  • Looks like an airfreshner?

  • Just chucked a 5tb HDD from East Digital in mine. Going strong after a couple years still. 12 cameras connected.

The facial recognition and pet detection is the star feature for me. Can instantly search what my dog has been up to all day and where the kids are.

My suggestion would be to browse FB marketplace, can pick these up for $100

    • is yours a homebase 2 or 3?

      • Pretty sure HB2 doesn't have a hdd slot

  • Has anyone used eufy sensors with homebase 3? The sensors are indoor but planning to use them on the outside.

  • Can anyone confirm if it can filter out known faces?

    • No, I couldn't find this feature out of the box.

Aren't you saying something sort of opposite in your other comment below?

Home base 3's AI and facial recognition features are too good!

        • You can't skip facial recognition for known faces (house hold members) even if my family members move past the camera, eufy will record the event and send the notification.

  • hopefully this will help my solocam stop thinking the ducted air con unit on my neighbour's roof is a person around about 3:45 in the afternoon

  • Have this & home base 2 both. Home base 3's AI and facial recognition features are too good! Plus the speaker in home base 3 for alarms is bigger.

Due to the amount of computations the home base 3 does, at times I've noticed HB3 goes offline and gets back online after reboot. Definitely this is due to running out of computation memory. Noticed twice in the last 3 months.

If you're keen on having 2K & 4K security cameras then this Homebase is a necessity!
