Not a great laptop or deal
    Much better deals available

  • Everyone at work with one hates them

    • howcome? it's so portable and lightweight

Gets hot and starts to cry with 2 chrome tabs. We hate it at work too

starts to cry with 2 chrome tabs

Starts to cry? as it starts throttling with 2 chrome tabs?

          • @Homr: Yup, fan goes on

Also with surface laptops pretty standard to have fan on when charging too

        • +1

I mean, if you put the right thing in two tabs I'll get hot and start crying too.

Usually not something to do at work as well.

      • As well as the above, it's slow, connectivity requires their garbage dock, and at the price we pay you'd feel ripped off because a proper laptop is not much more

No deal, maybe if its $349 then maybe

    • $299 is the price

      • Yes $299

  • Resolution: 1536 x 1024 - no thanks!
The awesome display is what makes me ignore the faults of regular Surface devices. "Go" has the bad without the good.

  • Bad laptop, it can't even handle MS Team video meeting, the CPU can't handle it. Maybe $299 is a better price.

    • i5 1035G1 can't handle Teams?

      • -1

Yes, you will notice some of the team Features won't be available for this CPU.

        • I'm using it now. What features aren't available?

  • May not be a great deal but it's not as bad as the hate it's getting. Are the comments from users who have used the 4GB models perhaps? I had the 8GB RAM model and it ran Teams calls with multiple browsers etc all good. Not the quickest but a decent portable device.

    • Lol at the neg from some unknowledgeable person who feels negging someone who is providing real world experience is somehow helpful to others or their mental health. Good on you mate :) It may not be a great deal for everyone but 16gb ram with this processor should be more than sufficient for the average user doing school or office work or just everyday browsing.

Literally no information on the page or site about the “refurbishment” process. These are just used.
