Sign up for those free Udemy courses and you get a ton of spam emails from them, but yeh easy enough to just filter them out.

Looks like they won't automatically flag it as expired on their end once 1000 people try. I guess they will have more people after the 1000 limit try and fail to get one, but still hand over their information.
This is a clear way of them getting rid of a few screen protectors (provided they actually give them away, and when/if they do it will probably be a while) in exchange for a lot of personal information which they will probably sell or just use to spam the hell out of.
Oh well, I guess people actually agree to those terms and conditions so they can't complain.
Conditions also don't state when this deal started… meaning it's possible that no ozbargainers made it into the first 1000 (if this deal has been active for days/weeks before being posted here). Hopefully the OP will clear this up.

I don't know why but this sounds like a scam.
It's not a scam but there's no such thing as a free lunch as they say: as already pointed out by several people you're swapping your email and physical address for screen protector.
This means that the vendor and their associates can market to you instead of relying on you to find them when and if you want something. Since the cost of sending emails is trivial it's a solid way to sell goods and services.
If you really have to have this - and you probably don't given my experience of screen protectors, it pays to spend a little money on good ones as far as I'm concerned - use a disposable email or make a webmail account for such offers that are likely to result in marketing messages.
