Great price for a multi tool! Cut neat holes in plasterboard like a gentleman, instead of ripping it to shreds with a plasterboard saw.

Need to cut lots of pvc piping? Why waste energy with a hacksaw when you can use this? Save that energy to lift that beer at the end. Just make sure you leave it till the end - drinking and sawing don't go together.

Now that you've seen what happens to grouting when you don't wash your shower for months, use the grouting removal blade to hide your shame. Regain that lost confidence you so rightly deserve. You won't be embarrassed anymore when a friend comes over at night and uses your shower in the morning.

As mentioned in the comments, there are two versions - one with 7 accessories, and one with 23 accessories. As you'd expect, the numbers are cheaply padded by counting the sanding pads individually. Nevertheless, more is better than less!

          Mine came with more. While the description on the receipt says it has 7 accessories, there was a sticker on the box saying 23 accessories now included. It had 5 of each of the sanding pads, another saw like the one next to the allen key in the pic, and both a circular and triangular rough metal sanding attachments.

        Yes, reasaonable. Depends what you are cutting of course.
        With the blades it seems you get what you pay for. I've bought a few from ebay which have been good.

      I had one of these. I didnt use it all that often but it died within the first 12 months. The small metal teeth that slot into the blade fell off one by one. Unfortunately I lost the receipt so couldnt return it under warranty. I now own a bosch and so far so good.

        I lost the receipt for my Ozito air pump too. It died in the 3rd year. I brought it in to Bunnings, the guy said just bring in a stat dec saying when I bought the pump and he'll give me a replacement. I did just that and walked out with the current model which was worth twice what I paid, with a new 3-year warranty.

          I brought in a mitre saw that died in the 3rd year as well, after its second use. The staff gave me a replacement and said that it would only be covered for 4 months under warranty because that would have been exactly 3 years from the date of purchase. I asked why it wasn't covered for 3 years and she remarked and I quote "so you could do trade work and in 3 years time get another replacement".

          What product comes with a brand new warranty every time you get it replaced? It's unreasonable to expect a brand new warranty at each replacement especially when you're buying a bottom of the range power tool.

          You're right - you don't get a brand new warranty. Warranty remains as starting from the original purchase date.

          Some companies will grant an extra warranty (eg: 90 days from replacement) to cover you incase your original remaining warranty is <90 days.

          There is a law around usable life - Statutory Guarantee, which covers you for warranty after the manufacturers warranty has expired. Eg: if you bought an expensive multitool, lets say you paid $1000, it would be expected to last 2 years, not one, which might be a standard warranty. - that said, bunnings is giving three years from original purchase date, and prettying no questions asked. I'd say that's very generous for your $29 investment.

          This is an important thing to keep in mind for any expensive items you purchase. I say expensive, because it otherwise might not be worth your while. (Eg tv, fridge, washer, appliances etc. )

        The little lugs that hold the blade on? They fell off within the first 5 minutes with ours. Returned it and got the bosch.

          I bought one of these a while back. I read on another forum that the lugs can break off but only if you don't tighten the blade properly. With that in mind i tighten the blade well and i haven't had any issues with it.

    i had one of these….make sure you screw the lock nut on really right. The blades are held in by 4 TINY lugs which shear off very easily. These things vibrate a lot so unless its super tight the blade will work itself loose. I know the ryobi has like 8 lugs to hold the blade in.

    $30 is pretty good though, i might grab another :S

      I wonder if that's covered by their 3-year warranty. My last Ozito warranty claim (a portable tyre inflator that blew out in the 3rd year) was great. I got a brand-new current-model (which cost double what I originally paid) as a replacement.

          Personally, i think the fact that there is a photo with a pallet load of this product. AND it has been confirmed at various stores, is worthy of a + now rather than later.

          This is a good deal and an available deal, regardless if you grab one.

          A bit different than the low stock and suspect internet deals.

    Good deal. i have the Bosch version and it is very useful, especially in plaster and using in wood like a chisel.
    For PVC pipe, a hacksaw is usually quicker and easier.

      I can confirm that there are two versions, one with approx 7 accessories as described by deal88 and one with 23 accessories as described by KeeperX. You can tell which version by the photo of the accessories on the back of the box or by a yellow sticker on the top right of the front stating it comes with 23 accessories although I saw some 23-accessory versions without the sticker. So better rely on the photo.

        I called a BigW once to reserve a product. They had one left. I asked them if the box was perfect as it was a present. Was told it was in "as new" condition. Drove 45 minutes to get it. Went to the counter and they handed me a smashed up box. I went nuts.

        But that was BigW and this deal is Bunnings.

      Probably because when this was first released it was riding on the wave of the "Renovator" advertising, now that the renovator is not being advertised as much there is perhaps less interest in the knockoffs.

      Ive got one of these Ozito models that my wife gave me for my birthday about a year back, I used it last week for the first time to sand our front door and also to cut some timber from the bottom of the door where it had been sticking. Worked ok for that task.

      I also think you can use blades from some other brands (either Bosch or Ryobi, I cant remember which).

    Can anyone tell me if this is good for cutting down light holes as I have about 40 to install! We have the standard light batten in the ceiling right now so I can't use a hole saw as there is no fixture for the dril bit to lock into.

      If you're talking about putting holes in the ceiling (plaster) for downlights then you're much better off using a holesaw. the drill bit doesn't need to bite into timber, it's simply there as a guide to hold the saw in a central location. Make sure you know what size hole is required for the new lights and buy a suitably sized saw. As it's only plaster you don't have to go out and buy top of the range, but make sure you take a little time drilling/cutting carefully. There's nothing worse than having to patch an area where you're putting a hole!
      edit: One last tip… Don't cut a hole where the roofs timber battens are!

        The problem is that there is no guide for the drill bit as a hole already exists where the existing light batten is. I'll see how using a jab saw goes.

          Try holding, or even tape another small piece of plaster over the the area you need to drill into, then drill through that piece into and through the existing roof too! There's a lot greater chance of stuffing the hole up with a jigsaw or multi tool like these, especially if it's only a smallish hole for the lights!

      Haven't had a look at it. But it should be, provided it can cut a 45 up to 140mm or so. Only real problem with a drop saw (not sliding) is the width they cut!
      I'd take it a little easy with a cheap one. Make a few cuts, do some work, then a few more cuts. Don't try cutting everything up in the one hit!

          And don't discount picking up a decent second hand one.
          I got a Mak drop saw for $40, bought a decent blade (another $40), and have used it for about 2 years now!
          But like I said, my drop saw won't cut the 240mm I needed for the outside bench seats, stair treads, etc.
