Jeebus you guys are quick. Give me a few secs. still editing.

      • :)

  • 100 or 200hz?
also please check before buy if this 2013 model can support DTS passthrough, mine (2011 model) can not. so pissed off because of that, need to convert all movies to AAC first

    • +2

When I bought mine came with a big sticker on box stating New 2013 model.

      • good price. mine 2011 model bought early 2012 for $1600, 200hz but design is so-so not like this one.

        • +1

Yeah its a friggn awesome tv. Im constantly surprised at quality and zero motion judder.
Also has nice and quick channel change and LG smart software is awesome.

    • it says TruMotion 100Hz

  • Oh wow. Bought this TV a few months ago. Can't believe how cheap it has gone now. Watching Youtube with the built in app is amazing. So clear.

  • Hrm looking for something to replace my 2006 panny plasma, could this be it …

    • get something around 50-60, dont go smaller.
dont go for 3D if the price differences is big. you will use 3D for couple first months only then forget.
bigger screen is better than 3d feature. - unless you have big pocket and intend to have everything

3D games on PS3 (and PS4) are the shizznit though :)

  • +1

I would NOT recommend this for gaming (crap scren refresh rate). But good price anyway

  • By looking at your receipt it shows that you also purchased two other products. Did they discount the 50" because of that reason? Of so then all your doing is gloating at your discount.
Closest match i could find on their website was this

I just call my local JB, they said it has long gone, they don't have it anymore. by the way I called Maribyrnong JB in Melbourne. Can anyone please tell me where I can get it in Melbourne.

  • I have this TV it's very good and the CinemaTV apps and shit are all excellent. 3D is awesome. The one thing that shits me with this TV is that it is horrible for sports. Football, NFL, NBA etc has HORRIBLE and very noticable ghosting on the ball. The Trumotion settings do not change this. Otherwise it's an excellent TV.

    • That's why you have to watch sports on a plasma :)….I went for Samsung plasma 50 inches coz I can't train my brain to not notice the motion judder when watching sports on LCD!

    • -1

      Exactly the opposite here…
my Panasonic plasma is just about useless for watching anything…
My old LG LCD walks all over it and it is about 5 years older!

  • +3

Going off the comments, this is a useless TV for games and watching sports due to really bad ghosting. So basically it's unsuitable for most people. If a TV can't perform in it's basic function(it's display), it's a crap TV.

    • thanks for clarifying that.

I am keen to replace my LG Plasma but won't go to Judderland just for the sake of getting LCD

  • Does anyone know how does this compare to 55LM7600?

  • Not sure if this is a good deal but might be of interest -
Toshiba 50" L2300A Full HD LED TV $998.

    • if me i will loook at toshiba 60" deal without 3d, if for around $1300 will be happy to pay

  • OP>> Hey Matt777,
Did you get the reduced price on this because you purchased two 32" sets @ $637 each as well??
Would be interested to see if anyone can pull this deal on a one set purchase?

  • I have a 47LW5700 from 2010/11 which shares the same 100hz technology and it is aboslutely fine for gaming and sports. There is zero ghosting and input lag. I don't use the motion interpolation feature at all.

  • I have this TV… It's awesome and amazing… With loads of features… I am loving it.. Awesome 3D quality..

  • Xbone? :)

  • +3

was anybody able to get this deal from jb apart from the OP

    • I printed out the receipt when OP posted it in the comments of another deal and was able to get the same deal OP did without any problem.

    • I verbally mentioned that "someone online" (not mentioning OzB explicitly) had purchased the TV for $1400. The sales assistant brought up the product in their system, assessed the situation and replied, "yeah, we can do it for that price." Makes me wonder if there was still a fair bit of margin in it for them. In any case, it didn't stop him from trying to up-sell me on overpriced HDMI cables and the like.

      • Glad people appreciated the deal.
        Great tv isnt it.

LG definitely has become a brand that is very impressive.
Never would have bought LG a few years ago… hows things can change.
Saying that.. I wont touch Sony or Toshiba now days

      • cool. could you tell me which store you were able to match it at? THx~~~

  • OUT OF STOCK in WA, as I bought the last one for the same price $1400.

    Thanks Matt.

  • I purchased the 55lm6410 (2012 model) and it is a brilliant tv - no ghosting, no motion blur. Bought on sale for 1269 in late 2012
