Wedding coming up, help find me a deal?

Well I've never been to a wedding before and I'm not sure what I should be wearing. Are there certain colours that I shouldn't have for my tie? What tie should it be? The fat type or the thin, skinny type?

Are there any sales on some mens clothing sites which sell cheap but not too cheap shirts?(I already have the jacket and the pants) it doesn't have to be anything fancy.

  • Oh one more thing, the wedding is held in a church if that matters and there'll also be a wedding dinner party. I'm just the 'audience' so I won't be standing anywhere near the bride/groom.

  • Just buy any nice shirts suit your budget and you will wear another time to work/ party/ wedding.
Many places have discount like oxford.
Will recommend avoid black shirt (if your suit is already black) as it looks like you're going to a funeral.

Whats the dress code on the invitation?

    • Yeah, the invitation should mention a dress code.

If you happen to know the colour scheme then avoid that, otherwise just avoid too much black.

  • what is the date? - consider it might be really hot.

  • The invitation mentions no form of dress code, I only got one of those 'save the date' cards so I assume its just formal.

I'm planning on a black suit, white shirt, red tie would that be ok?

    • If it is just save the date, how soon could it be?
