It does my head in how many manufacturers aren't putting higher resolution screens in top end laptops. Admittedly, only 4GB ram and 1TB drive doesn't indicate top end, but the CPU is i7. Should pair it with an i3 - i5 with the rest of these specs.

the i7 is totally wasted, you will get the experience of a $500 laptop at the cost of 948

No way is this a deal

Care to explain why it is totally wasted?

These have such a terrible, unresponsive touch pad. My 2c

  • To be fair, looking at laptops with:

    HD 1920 screens
    SSD's (128 or 256)
    More memory (8 or 16gb)

You're looking at a price of above $1500

This laptop for what is in it is pretty good. In fact, the original price at JBHIFI was $1198 just yesterday.

So for what the specs are, clearly this is a deal!

    • I don't think its a bad deal, I just think they should put an i3-i5 with this hardware as you would probably not notice any difference in performance and could offer it marginally cheaper.

If you are shopping to a price, rather than requirement, then yeah, i7 under $1000, cheap, a good deal :)

  • And this is coming from a guy looking at a P34G Gaming laptop with all the specs for $1699 at MSY.

The F450JF looks like a reasonable compromise for price vs performance

Though I wish I wasn't a cheapskate and would just suck it up and buy the P34G
