      • Np :)

    • Even better

  • +4

Luckily I only bought two from woolies. Will be buying more on wednesday, from coles this time.

    • +13

      Luckily I bought none lol

  • Got these for $4.49 from Woolies Brighton last time, competing with new Coles

    • accidental post

  • Here we go again ;-)

  • I purchased 1L tubs from Woolies Oakleigh VIC for $4.49 last night :)

  • +1

Bugger me, I bought 11 from woolies :(, then again i used it with the 10$ discount and the free delivery.

    • +1

      Still saved $4.39 :)

  • +3

ok. time to return these and wait for wednesday. in all OZBargain spirit.

    • +1

Do they refund frozen stuff like ice cream?

      • i don't think so

  • +1

    Limit six per customer?! Madness!

    • +7

relax, it's 6 per customer per day.

      • +1

Lol 'sif there'll be any left the next day..

        • +43

self-serve. just do a few transactions.

or spend the time rethinking your life choices and whether you really need more than 6 tubs of ice-cream.

        • +11

or spend the time rethinking your life choices and whether you really need more than 6 tubs of ice-cream.

i don't understand what you mean by this statement.

        • +1

Coles offer rainchecks for advertised products not in stock. Basically return anytime within 12 months and get the item for the advertised price!

      • +1

Maybe you missed my /s or /jk

    • -1

Just fill up your trolley and sample each of them while shopping. Then let them try and restrict you from completing the purchase then. : )

      • i would love to see how you try to complete the entire trolley load of icecream without it going bad in the next few weeks :P

      • I don't think they stop you buying them… they just don't apply the discount to the tubs after 6 in a single transaction. So you'd be paying full price for all the other tubs you 'sampled'. Although the look on the cashier's face would be priceless.

        • +1

That is not correct. My experience at Coles and Woolworths is that they simply wont allow you to buy more than the advertised limit. But that's easy fixed, exit the store, go back in and use a different slave to do the transaction. But this was pre self serve days, now you can get away with anything

  • Haven't tried: best flavour guys?

    • +36

      cookies and cream.

      • +1

        +1 cookies and cream

    • Cafe something something

      • cafe grande isn't bad too.

      • Having it now. It's pretty awesome.

      • +16

Cafe Grande is nice substitute for breakfast coffee - had half a woolies tub this morning.

        • +5

had half a woolies tub this morning.

And you call that a substitute just for the coffee? lol

    • +3

      Vanilla. Always vanilla.

    • Belgian Chocolate, yum :)
BTW, I bought 3 of those from woollies last week.

  • Was about to stock up from the two ones I had but no need now as I will stock up on Wednesday. Thanks Op

  • Any other flavour recommendations?

    • Chocolate and macadamia flavours are nice

    • Belgian chocolate or the cafe grande

  • -1

    Best yoghurt ever.

    • +13

      you're doing this wrong.

  • -1

i like colesbrand. rum and raising ftw

  • +1

A wild new enemy appears! Take that woolies.

    • Ha, gotta love the Pokemon reference!

  • +31

if you buy 3 using cash the unit cost of each tub will drop to $4.4833

    • Thanks. But for some reason, your comment made me lol

      • +4

although you're likely to save 3.38c per tub if you use your credit card and ride out the full 55 days interest free period.

*based on money accruing in an interest bearing account of 5% per annum

    • +36

      Get a life.

      • -4

Harsh :( ozbargainers here saying they wouldn't want to save $0.51 per tub if they could? What's going on?? I don't get what was so negative about what I said.

Btw serious question though. Someone up there mentioned returning them too and his comment wasn't negged into oblivion. Why was that?

        • +15

Your post has too much 'seriousness'

        • +17

If you chucked a lol in there somewhere, then you'd have been alright

        • +20

Oh I see… Alright lol that makes sense

        • Perhaps if the smiley was the other way around…

  • +1

    Pricematch at wooliess

    • Well given I said above that woolies is already selling at this exact price..?

  • Nice, will have to give this a go

  • go Coles :D

  • +1

I agree, good deal and great price. Just expect clogged arteries coming complimentary, the high saturated fat in these are horrendous!!!

    • +2

Oh please. It's 24% of the recommended daily intake which means there is no reason this could not be enjoyed on occasion as part of a healthy balanced diet. Food with a horrendously high saturated fat content are food items that meet or exceed RDI in one serve (think double quarter pounder with cheese).

    • +6

Who the hell eats 63g of ice cream.

      • People who are concerned by how horrendously high in saturated fat it is. Lol

      • +18

Me….. About 10 times per sitting.

  • I only spend $50 and get $10 off.. 20% savings.
means I bought these @$4.00 delivered.

bottom line - don't feel ripped off.

    • Same here. Plus paid with 5% off gift cards thanks to RACV. Woolies ftw.

    • +4

I recieved them abit too warm, they were melted, propably wont be using their delivery service for frozen items in the future.

  • yum yum yum! Thank you for posting :)

  • I always see this kind of ice cream on here. Must be pretty damn good tasting ice cream. Might have to try it myself

  • +2

I ate a full tub of the cookies and cream and it was delicious so delicious in fact that when I honked it back up I yammed it down again :)

  • +1

    checkmate woolies

  • +6

Limit 6 per customer? What is this?! A deal for ants?!

    • +1

Just go to a different counter each time

      • +6

        Just go through the robo-checkouts…

    • +1

It needs to be for at least… 2 times as many!

    • It's just a marketing trick to make it seem like more of a super-dooper-deal.

(You can just go through the self-serve checkouts multiple times).

    • just tell them you are eating for 2 (or 6…) ;)

  • +3

Just bought Ice Magic and Flake in anticipation to smash this deal.

Lucky it's 6 per customer per store per day. I have 4 Coles within 10 min range, 24 per day. Do-able…

    • Ice magic and flake? Method please?

      • +25

It's pretty complicated, so bear with me:
        1. Take the ice cream from the freezer
        2. Put the required amount of ice cream in a bowl
        3. Prepare Ice Magic as per instructions
        4. Put Ice Magic on ice cream (see step 2)
        5. Open Flake and crumble on top
        6. When Ice Magic has set, consume.
        7. Repeat steps 1-6 as necessary, or until ice cream has run out.
        8. Go back to Coles this week and purchase more ice cream.

        • Sweet. I mean that, literally.

        • is that you heston blumenthal?

        • +2

nah, he's not heston. He didn't whip out his thermometer and measures the icecreams to ensure its at 3.33331 Celsius before pouring 21.102847ml of ice magic on it.

  • +1

    here, we, go, again

  • aldi has much better ice cream

    • +2

You almost got me laurence… I was half through typing "bull$hit" when I saw it was you.

    • +1

Nobody likes an ice cream troll.

Must say though, those Aldi ice cream sandwiches are pretty damned good.

  • 200th vote!

OT: I will be stockpiling my fridge with months of ice cream.

  • +3

Do yaself a f(l)avour and buy the ALDI caramel and honeycomb premium for <$5 everyday price.

    • -2

      and learn to type

      • +2

I "typed" it okay didn't I? Did you mean "spell" - in which case I suggest you look up the Urban Dictionary. Langwidge, doncha jus luv it.

  • lol damn considering how long the other thread went…

  • I don't think I can fit any more into my freezer..

    • Buy a bigger freezer

    • +2

Go every night to Coles, and wait until they've run out of the flavours you want. Then, demand rainchecks on them, for 10 tubs each. The rainchecks are good for a year. Come every month or so when you've run out, and replenish.

      • Don't you have to take the whole raincheck in one go?

        • Nope, asked this very question to a Coles rep. Apparently they just cross off the exiting number and write how many you have left. Saves them from writing you multiple rain checks.

      • Rainchecks are good for a month.
