Found the mixer on clearance at The Good Guys for $399, plus $2 delivery. Seems to be an excellent price for local stock. TGG offers a $25 voucher for online purchases (expires today). Free mincer/sausage maker attachment from Kenwood by redemption.

Last deal prices were about AUD312 delivered from amazon (no local warranty/free mincer).

      Thanks for the comment. I was on the fence between this and spending a bit more for the Kitchenaid (even after buying it!). My mind's a bit more at ease now.

        We have had a couple of mixers but never a Kitchenaid, but we havent done anything that this mixer wasnt capable of..
        I couldnt justify the double the price for the kitchenaid unless you really want all those cupboard filling accessories

          I had used a Kitchenaid at my aunt's for years so was a bit biased. Although that was an old one (before they changed to plastic attachments and some gears). Good to know you're still happy with your Kenwood. Fingers crossed I don't get a lemon.

    A Kenwood equivalent out rated the Kitchenaid on Choice. The Kenwood also has a 500 watt motor compared to the KitchenAid's 300. Both great machines though.

    just bought it for my mum
    she wanted a kitchen aid but we both didnt think the amount of delicious food she was going to make would justify the cost

    Thanks for posting! shes going to be very happy for christmas

    Shame missed out on the credit though, i shop at good guys alot
