Miele S5211 Turbo $309 @ Harvey Norman

80

Good price for a great vacuum cleaner. Note that this is the "turbo" model rather than the standard S5211.

Just picked an S5211 Turbo up from Harvey Norman in Fyshwick for $309. There was a pile of them with the sale price marked as $369. You may be able to get them for cheaper if you try, I've uploaded the reciept for your use.

Good price for a great vacuum cleaner. Note that this is the "turbo" model rather than the standard S5211.

Only difference I can see between the two models is the STB 205-3 Turbobrush floorhead and the turbo model is exclusive to HN.

I was happy to pick up the standard model for $149 in the boxing day sales https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/128334. Add ~$90 for the STB 205-3 Turbobrush

    • Yeah unforunately I missed out on that sale.

  • Miele is a good vacuum cleaner for reliabilit and still made in Germany. Only problem is the ongoing cost for bags normally miele 4 packs of bags costs between $15-20 plus filter change and if it hepa filter it cost around $50-90 depending on model. Good buy and enjoy it op

Just get the non original ones. I think Harvey Norman sells them too.

    • We buy the bags (which include a filter in the box of 5) from ebay. Much cheaper than local shops. The genuine bag does hold a lot.
      Best vacuum ever!!

    • I went with a dyson for that reason.

  • HN is franchise based so dunno if this can be honored @ other HN shops.

  • is this a late valentine's present for the mrs?

  • our vacuum cleaner has just developed a high pitched whine and a strong electrical burning smell. Time for a new one - would welcome every one's thoughts on whether its really worth spending $300+ when Aldi has them this week for $49.

After terminating many vacuum cleaners in our time either through mechanical failure or just being a useless pieces of junk, the Miele is the one I wish we had bought first up.
It cost more than some that look similar but that is where it ends.
When you experience how it does its job and will keep doing just that for a very long time it does work out to be much cheaper than a useless piece of junk for $50.
The offer shown here is a very good deal for what is arguably the best vacuum on the market imo.

I just got the Nilfisk Action Plus from Godfreys for half price (was $208, got it for $104) used it today and it is a monster compared to the $50~ I've used for the last few years. I rang up quite a few stores around west suburbs of Melbourne. All sold out except for Highpoint. But some stored said they will get more stock of this next week

  • This model isn't even on HN's website. Looks store-specific at this point.

    • Yep, it's store-specific.

WA stores have it for $398.

      • The S5211(both the standard and turbo) has been discontinued which probably explains why it isn't on the website. I was hoping that people could use the attached reciept to pricematch at other HNs.
