Do you use OzBargain to save or spend?

Just curious about the different types of OzBargain users. Do you visit:

  1. hoping to spot deals on stuff you were already in the market for?
  2. to inform yourself about products you weren't really aware of or intestested in, but may want after seeing a deal on OzBargain?
  3. for some other reason?

I like to think of myself as mostly a 1 with very little of 2 happening, and I'm wondering how many people share that attitude or have a different perspective!

There were definitely times when ozbargain led me to impulse buying just because it seemed like such a good deal.

But mostly, I am looking for bargains/discounts at places I visit regularly anyway. It's also good to know what's a good price, just in case I am going to buy something similar in future.

This website has definately led to impulse buying on my behalf….

  • It gives me an idea of what is a "hot" price and what is a fair price on items I might be after but I often find even if I don't spend or save money (or even don't want to buy an item) I find useful information which will aid me in the future.

This is why I continue to browse OzBargain and even add my 2cents if I can :)

  • My answer is pretty much the same as the above. But pretty much 2.

Has led me to impulse buy quite a lot! but only things that interest me

    thank you ozbargain! hehe

  • Personally I am a very disciplined buyer (although I did fell for some of the deals posted here). It did inform me a lot of products that I am interested in though — something along the line of "hey it's neat! I never knew this kind of thing exist", although I later figured out that it's not what I need…

  • Sometimes, when you actually need something, there is no bargain at all, so better stock up :)

  • I eat more pizza now:P

  • At the begining when I found this website, its always number 2 (seriously made me buy some great bargains, which later realised I don't need it). But now, I'm more disciplined and really save some money on the things that I already intentionally wanted, at a bargain price! Well, like what my mum always said, "you pay to learn".
