        Rep

I ordered M16 LED down lights from your store and I had to cancel my order. When I tried to contact your support team, i received below email which is not right that's what I feel. I cancelled my order even before I received them and I don't really understand why should I pay 20% restocking fee? It's unfair if customer circumstance change why they should pay this restocking fee? I am very disappointed and I won't buy anything from your shop that for sure.

This order has been shipped out on 24th via DHL with tracking# XXXXXXXXXXXX
        http://www.dhl.com.hk/content/hk/en/express/tracking.shtml?b…
And it is now Processed at SYDNEY - AUSTRALIA

Since your cancellation request is sent after the shipment has been done, if you still want to cancel the order, you can refuse the delivery and ask them to return to the sender.
After we receive the returning package, we can refund you the amount deduct the shipping cost (send to your country and return back to us) and the import tax from AU to China (if there is any) and a 20% restocking fee as there is nothing wrong with the item itself.

        • +1

"It's unfair if customer circumstance change why they should pay this restocking fee?"

Conversely, why should the retailer who has shipped your item as expected have to foot the bill for your change of mind? 20% is up there, but someone has to deal with your non-faulty change of mind return

        • @SBOB: I understand that I am happy to pay the shipment fee not the restocking fee. How hard for them to resell it in the market?

        • @Sri:
Please. You surely must realise that actual human-beings are employed and involved in the processing, checking and packing - and for customers like you, the unpacking - of orders.
I'm not even going to put a question-mark on the end of that.

          Cancelling Orders

Orders can be cancelled anytime before they are shipped.

In your account center, if the order payment status says “pending payment” or "pending", you can just leave it there or contact us ([email protected]) to cancel it.

If the order is paid, but the shipment status says “unshipped” then please contact us ([email protected]) and we’ll help to cancel the order and initiate a refund.

Once the shipment status says “shipped”, we are unable to cancel the order. In such a situation, you will still be able to send it back within a 7 day period for a refund. After we receive the returning package, we will refund you the item amount. In this case, we will charge 20% restocking and handling fee. And you are responsible for the shipping fee back to us. The recommended shipping method is registered airmail with tracking number to ensure that the product does not get lost in transit.

          No?

        • @waterlogged turnip:

by 'pay attention' he/she means 'look out for.'

@tightwad: Isn't that just what I just said, but worded differently? lol or are you correcting me? Now I'm more confused than ever.

  • Hi rep.
I just bought the B22 in the previous deal.
I like to order this E27 5W but for the cool white version. Can you release the code for the cool white ? I just try and E275W only work for the warm white only.

    • Same here, after E27 5W cool white

  • Used one of the previous deals to order some. It has never arrived. Had to claim back via paypal. Won't try my luck again as those orders are very easy to forget about.

    • hi oj4rec ,

may we ask when did you place the order .

After June , we have adjust a new EUB shipping which will reach AU 7-15 days .

      • +1

Ordered in April, "shipped" in May, refunded in June.

  • I'm interested in a GU10 downlight deal, any coming soon?

    • Cosjav, given that you downvoted the Rep's straightforward and reasonable comment covering MyLED's 'cancelling orders' policy, maybe you should purchase your lights from a bricks an mortar business - just in case, like 'Sri' - you then change your mind. Mate.

    • Yes, after GU10 as well, cool white.

  • Hi Rep
My Order #100023896 (placed on July 26) From the previous deal. Both Warm white and cool white are same discount. I must click the wrong link. I always want cool white. I just check my order from e-mail. It is warm white. Can You change my order back to COOL WHITE Please.

  • These look to have no heat fins, just a plastic shell. In my experience, the internals will get hot and burnt out (for want of a better expression.)

Good price, but if so environmentally friendly if they are to be replaced regularly.

One wonders if these 'bulbs' are legal to import and to use in Australia.

Are they 'safe'? I can see no evidence that they have the required Safety Certification for Australia.

      • Yes, can someone please confirm if these bulbs meet all required Australian standards?

  • Why does the 15W look so ugly?

  • Rep, the check out with Paypal button doesn't work. no respond.
The code seems to work ok.
    is this a known issue?

  • Sorry noob question, how do i know my light bulb size is?

    • Short story; if the base is not spiral (E27) then is Bayonet (B22)

Long story; In Australia the standard for domestic purposes is Bayonet 22 mm (B22) mostly British ,
in some places people might use Edison screw 27 mm (E27) mostly American.
you can also purchase a converter, but let some licensed agent install it.
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bayonet_mount
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edison_screw
There are more but the rest is not interesting for you

      • Thanks alot mate, mine is screw so should be E27 then! :)

      • you can also purchase a converter, but let some licensed agent install it.

Did you mean a licensed electrician?

If so, surely an electrician would not install these bulbs as well.

  • +1

These 15w exposed bulbs are a safety risk. You don't want to try to unscrew when bulb is on. If you do not have earth leakage on your light circuit it might be the end of you. From what I hear the supply for these things is just a clipper circuit. Nasty shocks on the soldering either side of each led.

    • +1

dont really understand the technical jargon, but are you saying only the 15w one is unsafe (eg. risk of electricution?) or both the 15w and 5w? How do you pick a safe one to buy? Thanks! :)

      • +1

5W is different construction - all enclosed plastic globe, like a normal light bulb. 15W has exposed electrically connected solder joints onto the LED light elements, so could present potential risk if you touch it. These should be at low voltage - but there is no way I would touch it when on, just in case.

I would not be too worried.
But always turn off electricity before installing/removing bulbs. Don't touch the bulb at any time.

Has been recent media coverage of woman electrocuted while using headphones with phone on faulty USB charger that did not comply with Australian electrical standards.

        • +1

Thanks mate, my main concern is whether they will burn the house down…I mean with all these cheap LED bulbs?

        • +1

          @homersyd:
Frankly, that would also be my biggest concern with any electrics of unknown origin. But I bought (again).

        • +1

I have a some ebay and other import bulbs in my house and I generally think they would be safe as they would fail open circuit. Mine are the one with a cover on there. I chucked my uncovered LED corn bulbs out recently. Too worried i'd be away and my kids or wife would try and change one with the switch on. I would question folks that sell exposed terminal C-tick globes because It puts the rest of the stock into question.

I dont see why anyone would buy rubbish globes now that quality LED globes are under $10.

Dont believe me? You will believe this guy. He is British
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08W2VIwBkhI

Being in the distribution industry myself. I would be embarrassed to die from a shock whilst changing a lightbulb, probably less embrassing than being found hanging choked on your belt with your pants around your ankles but who's judgin right?

        • +1

I would be surprised if every person here had never inserted a fresh globe with the switch accidentally in the on position. If you really think about it the danger is there.

If they have a cover they are probably ok. But really these 5w globes would struggle to do 250lm. A light that isnt bright enough for a room is just a downer. Last time i was in Aldi they had a pack of three 9.5w very decent LED BC or ES for $25. There also hardly any point getting rid of good CFLs for Rubbish LEDs.

        • +1

          @sillyhead:
Even though I posted not to change bulbs with the power on… I did it the other day. Was replacing a couple of candle bulbs in a multi bulb fitting. There was a slight difference in light output, so was swapping bulbs to even the effect. But the bulbs were fully enclosed plastic, so safe enough.

(Coles was clearing their "energy saving" Mirabella 9W=40W 470L small bayonet Candle CFLs, reduced from $12 to 50c. Limited stock store special, so did not post deal. Output was patchy, but was able to swap for good ones at another Coles!)

Laziness often wins over safety, even for the experienced.
