Tiger Airways: Sydney to Melbourne for $28 One Way, Including Tax!

180

Another notable mention from Tiger 'Always on Sale' Airways – fares between Sydney and Melbourne are $28 each way, including tax! Make sure you book with a debit card, skip seat allocation and leave your check-in baggage at home in order to get tickets at this price. Sale is on now until 2 September, or until seats sell out, for travel between 4 October and 27 March, 2010. Don't fret too much over snapping up tickets for this one – knowing Tiger, similar prices will be floating around in the weeks to come.

Other great fares are currently on offer for a swag of Australian cities, including the $48 Tour Down Under fares to Adelaide mentioned on the Flighthacker blog. Check Tiger Airways' sale page for details and Adioso.com for available flights. (via Flighthacker.com, http://ow.ly/lDK0)

  • +1 for all the colourful language in this and other posts, as well as always containing a relevant and useful description!

    • Many thanks, quackster! You've made my night :)

  • I wouldn't fly Tiger if you paid me, let me know if you're flights leave at the time you booked them for.

    • They failed on me many times so I never fly with Tiger again no matter how cheap they are…not worth the waiting and your time!

    • they sure did, just took 4 flights with them and all were perfect

  • Their Adelaide base has quite good ontime performance, so I would jump on the $39 ADL-SYD offer, but there Melbourne delays lately have been shocking, not to mention all the standings.

Although being 9 Daily to Sydney, the worst that could happen is they could pop you on the next flight at checkin if you original flight is delayed significantly seing some services are as close as 30mins apart.

    $28 Fare
    $6 CC fee
    $5 Seat pick
=$39, $78 return….6 months ago I couldn't have even got a one way flight for that much!

  • You did not mention that payment is only by Australia issued Mastercard debit card.
