Tempted but I'm skipping this for a bigger one. Good price tho

  • I bought one the last time this special was promoted (3 weeks ago).

It's been plugged in, and running without an issue.

Bought online, instore. Click & collect. Wonder how long I'll have to wait. Haha.

Hmm… they wave to wait until head office clears my payment before they can give it to me. Dicking around!

    • LOL… received this email from DSE

We regret to inform you that with the details you have provided we have been unable to verify that order _______ was placed by the authorised card holder. As such we have chosen to cancel this order.

  • nice, purchased one delivered, hopefully no dramas with them this time round

  • So you would get another 5% cheaper at office works with price matching?

    • Not if its an online only pricing. Based on my experience Dicking with Office Works.

      • Even though the in store pick up is almost next door (30 second walk)

        • +2

Oh, then the 30-second rule applies.

        • @muncan:
Thanks muncan, I other words they will use any old excuse. May as well give he original discounter the money.

I did, just walked in and showed them the dse cart showing $74 and they beat it down to $70.30

      • Maybe I should have but I ended up just ordering with dse.

      • Thanks for trying it out. I went to my local Officeworks asked if they could price match $74 at DickSmith and he asked whether it was to do with a Dicksmith discount. He found out about the $25 off from reading OzBargain. The rest of the purchase was simple. Registered as $70.30 plus I made use of the 5% tap-and-go discount from MeBank.

  • Have been around this price for a while when on sale last year, but the Aussie dollars go down

  • Thanks, ordered one.

  • for removing them - i find with the seagate drives, there is no sticker or other witness marking. so if you are careful when you remove it (take an extra minute and use a soft tool) you could quite easily replace it back into the case and return for warranty if required. That's my opinion anyway.

  • Mine arrived on Tuesday and I tested it to ensure it wasn't DOA. It's fine.

Now I just have to wait to receive it on my birthday and feign surprise.

  • first ever exteranl hdd I have purchased that switches itself off if the usb isnt connected
