Dandenong Plaza has the worst Target in Australia. It is a "clearance outlet"- all the items from all the other Target stores in Australia that have already been on clearance but still nobody wants it ends up here, and it's the worst of the worst. Some bargains if you literally don't care what it looks like.

I didn't know that EFTPOS gift cards could be limited to use at certain stores or within a certain shopping centre.

More info about the gift card: http://dandenongplaza.com.au/gift-card-packages/gift-cards-1

Can be used at these shopping centres:
    NSW
    Charlestown Square
    Rouse Hill Town Centre
    Wollongong Central

    NT
    Casuarina Square

    VIC
    Chirnside Park
    Dandenong Plaza
    Highpoint Shopping Centre
    Melbourne Central
    Parkmore Shopping Centre

    • I actually like the Target Outlet.

Sure all the clearance stuff that didn't sell gets shipped there so there's a lot of crap. But practically everything there is a clearance item.

So you don't have to sift through corners and hope to find something overlooked by someone else for stuff that you kinda need but wouldn't normally try finding a deal on.

It's kind of like going garage sale shopping, most stuff you see is crap, but there will be bound to be a few things that will perk your interest if you're a bargain hunter and enjoy that kind of thing.

Also good tip on being able to use the cards at other centers, will probably go to pick a few up for sure now. Originally I was just planning on picking up something at the JB HI Fi that just opened there.

Does Melbourne Central count as the entire Emporium section?

      • +1 I love Target Dandenong they have great stuff, most clothes for $7, recently with the 20% off coupon $5.40. Some of these clothes have retailed at $60 full price. Sure some of it's out of season and sizes run out quick but there are some fantastic buys to be had. So all the haters are welcome to stay away, more good buys for me.

  • It starts the 24/11/2014 plus you should be able to use it with the shop small amex deal.

  • I tend to avoid dandenong as best I can, but if you are a local and spending that money anyway, it's a decent deal

but if you are a local and spending that money anyway

most of the locals would prefer to shoplift

          @King Tightarse:

That's only if you're lucky enough to still find your car where you parked it…

  • Excellent. So I can buy the $80 of Dandenong gift cards. Get an additional $20 and then use to buy a $100 wish gift card which I can use pretty much a lot of places I will actually go to.

It seems to be easier then the spend $150 at Eastland and get a $20 JB Hifi card they had a few months back. I ended up with $160 worth of free JB gift cards and lots of wish gift cards (8x$150) for my normal food shopping.

  • Something to note though from the Ts and CS:
