Go with Uni Provider for Certificate Framing or Find Another Place to Do It?

Hey all!

So I'm graduating fairly soon, and my uni is offering this frame
http://www.jacksonframes.com.au/index.php?route=product%2Fpr…
for $139 with 10% off ($125.10)

Was just wondering if I should have them do it on the day, or find another place to do so later on?

Also any recommendations for places to do it in sydney if not at uni?

Also is it easy to just buy a nice one and frame it myself?

Thanks

  • Well the University of Western Sydney has frames on sale.
Don't know if they have stock, contact them to find out.

WTF I have my uni degree hanging on the wall since 1981 in a frame bought at a $2 dollar shop standard A4 size fits…. save some money and have a great night out to celebrate your degree!

  • buy a frame yourself later. wont cost anywhere close to that.
do a quick search for certificate frame in office works and you will see. They start at $3.50 and the ones for $10-15 look pretty good.
mines in a frame that was around $5-10 from 15 years ago.

i'll say just buy the university's merchandise. it doesn't look as good in a generic frame from the bargain shop or ikea. and what's an extra $139 after all that money spent on a degree. do it once and do it right!

  • The logo is nice if you want it under your degree in the frame.

    Otherwise, save some coin.

  • Goodness..might as well get it put on a plaque…I've had to make copies of my degree over the years so I've stored it away for easy access… Been meaning to get a plaque, but it is pretty expy..

  • My framing in April cost more than that. However, the reason I am happily sucked in is that the matting has the university logo on it, and that makes it a bit special for me. I know I could have gotten a high quality complete with mat custom frame for half what I spent, but it was all part of the day.

  • Thanks for all your suggestions! I'll probably just get a cheaper frame elsewhere and spend the money in other ways. I've still got masters to go anyway so still have time. :)
