  • Expedited delivery from outside Australia. Does that mean it's a grey import?

    • +1

Just realised this is the H815 not the H815T which is the Australian localised model so it is a grey import. Either way, it's still a great price.

      • +1

        H815T is the HK model.

      • +1

The H815T is the HK model, the H815 is the international model.

"Buyers do not require any warranty documentations when claiming warranty" says it all…

      • Looking to sell my mine, only a month old.
If the other person wants to claim warranty how will it work?

        • Not sure about this one but I reckon the buyer might need your eBay details such as billing address to confirm that the mobile was sold by them. Nowadays they can also track the mobile by the serial number in case they have this info.

        • I'll be happy to buy it!

  • +4

Yes it's a grey import. You're not going to find local stock at this price!

  • +1

Just bought one. This will work here in Australia right? I'm with Optus.

    • +4

Yep i bought one from Kogan ebay deal. Using amaysim and it works fine. Fantastic phone.

    • +1

Will work without any issues. AFAIK it doesn't have one LTE frequency that is used by some providers (I think Optus is one of them) but it shouldn't matter that much. Your LTE might not be as fast as it could be in certain areas. But you saved $200 or so compared to local stock.

    • +8

Good site to see if the phone supports your networks frequencies
      http://www.willmyphonework.net/

    • +1

Yes, I'm running a H815 on Amaysim (Optus 4G) works very fast.

    • +1

the 815T is the one with all the freq bands for Ausralia but I have read that the 815 has most bands (one biggy is 700mhz band 28, the 815 doesnt have, thats the new faster 4g band optus and telstra are pushing)

      • +2

PVA, the H815 does have the 4G 700Mhz band 28 which is used by both Telstra and Optus for 4G. The T model has an additional band 40 2300Mhz which is in use with Optus in limited areas.

        • +1

thanks for that, I was sure I read on OzB that it was the 700 band 28.
If it only the 2300 missing then no real reason to get the T model unless you live in a town that has 2300 I guess.

        • +2

          @PVA:

Yeah if it missed out on band 28 I wouldn't buy. 2300 I believe is mostly around Canberra.

        • +1

          @PVA: It's the H815P and H815N dual-sim models which are missing Band 28 700Mhz. ;)

"Postage: FREE Expedited delivery from outside AU | See details

and people still ask if this is local stock….

  • Bought. Have been waiting for my $50 voucher to be used on this deal but this works out even better

    • +4

I did consider it but the G4 specs kill this and it's only a $100 extra

      • +3

Plus the g4 has a proper arm cpu so there's no risks of apps not running properly

    • I've been using it for 6 months. I don't have anything to complain about it, except not ideal for people with small hands and the camera is a bit of a let down. I am someone who rarely takes photos so it doesn't bother me.

      • +2

and the camera is a bit of a let down

The camera is supposed to be in the top two phone cameras you can buy. If it doesn't reach your high standards your other camera is a Canon 5D.

        • +4

I replied to the guy who linked the Asus Zenfone 2. I have a Zenfone, not a G4

        • +1

          @tendollar:

As you were then, thought you were replying to alz

  • What's a good case to use with this phone?

  • Thanks princess. gonna wait for pricing info on the nexus5x/6p on 30th sep before deciding, hope there'll still be stock (for both options)!

    • Wow that went quick….nexus it is

  • Very tempted. Dont know what to do with my nexus 4.

    • I keep my Nexus 4 as a backup phone. In terms of upgrade intervals, I had my Nexus 4 for the shortest since it had the most problems such as short battery life, overheating, non-responsive power button, etc.

      • +2

I dont have any problems with my Nexus 4 except for bad battery life.Back up phone is a good idea though.

  • Yes wait for the announcement on Nexus before jumping on anything….

    • +1

Is the new Nexus going to cost $450?

      • Probably not but if feature wise is better depends how much you wanna spend.

All out of stock now only red left.

I got a G3 no need for this hehe

        • The problem with the nexus series, traditionally camera and battery have been weak. If you care about those aspects, it's unlikely the Nexus will be better than the G4 in camera. Updates and front facing speakers are the only things I see I prefer about the nexus 5x.

      • US$400 is best bet

  • Discount aside, anyone reckon that this phone value will depreciate even much further at the end of this year?

    • +1

      Yeah maybe by 15% Haha

      • That make me slightly regret

    • The suggestion is the LG G4 Pro might be launched early Oct, potentially replacing this, or at least being the new flagship. That maybe why the price is falling - but even so this phone is well up there with the Nexus 5X, Moto X Style, etc.

  • +1

    out of stock

  • +4

Just noticed the LG G3 is going for $465 at Mobiciti meaning its Oz stock with a discount it comes out to $395. Its a good alternative if you want to get a warranty. For me TRS takes it down to $355.

    • link?

    • Only 2gb ram though.

    • Local LG Warranty isn't worth it the extra money.

      • Depends. Like insurance it's something you never want to actually use but if you need to it will come in handy.

        YMMV

        • Basically, if you want a value for the warranty, look at the cost of extended warranties. The actual value will be less than that.

Since phones, like most electronics, follows the bathtub curve, anything that survives the first few days will likely survive to obsolescence.

And you are much more likely to drop and break it anyway.

  • +3

Slept in this morning and missed the brown.

Then about to buy the black, 2 left, quick double check for a minute about the bands and what this version is missing, decide it's still worth it for the price, sold out again.

Don't think I want the red.

  • dupe

    • The power of OZB. I mean the craziness with OZB theme colour

    • I bought an Australian stock G4 brown leather, it came with a champagne metallic back cover inside the box. Not sure if grey imports will have it, but might be worth looking into it

    • duplicate

    • triple duplicate

  • +2

Also almost forgot, for those who miss this deal because it's run out of stock, Sony Xperia Z2 might be even the better and cheaper option as it runs on 1080p which mean much longer battery life and water proof.

Notice that it's NEW: Never Used and NOT Brand New. I reckon no one gonna buy it considering the old 2014 April Model. But still, the best smartphone in it's generation.

I bet most of y'all forget to bring your towel use 2.5% cashback from cashrewards

  • Here's what I think for anyone who want bright brown/black colour (might not work)
Buy the red one and contact the seller. Ask them that you wouldn't mind to wait until they're in stock.

    • Less likely that the seller offer black..

      • How the… what the…
Regret aside, what colour you prefer?
I reckon black is much more neat as it less likely to leave stain

    • bought red, wanted black but was sold out. messaged the seller so just waiting for reply. fingers crossed.

  • +2

You can get LG G3 32GB D850 model AT&T version Black or White here for $299.20 here, may miss some Australian bands.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-White-LG-G3-D850-Android-32GB…

  • +4

Brown and black are back in stock.

  • +1

    This or S6 for 552$?

    • G4 has slightly better battery, slightly bigger screensize, microsd support, better stock android feel, cheaper, and on-par camera with the S6

Go for the S6 if you prefer to have the S6 unique look, wireless charging, heartbeat sensor, fingerprint sensor, quick charging, better looking but slightly smaller screen.

Personally for me… I'd go for the S6 as I LOVE wireless charging, quick charging and a phone that's not too big.

    • +1

Problem is if you get an s6 you'd probably want at least the 64GB model which would be more. With this 32GB is fine because you can add a microsd.

  • Stupid me click on the g3 link… and click on buy it now.

Realised when I was about to pay. Bought from this place before and totally like their service.

Hopefully they will help me fixing it

  • $552 where from?

  • +6

I think with these prices, this is the new flagship killer. Forget 1+2.

  • Does anyone whats a good place to buy the H815T version. I am based in Canberra and have Optus and apparently the H815 doesn't work with Optus 4G in Canberra

    • Are you sure the H815 doesn't work with Canberra 4G? I'm sure the 2300Mhz 4G band 40 is in addition to the other 4G bands Optus provide services on such as 1800Mhz, 700Mhz, 2100Mhz, 2600Mhz. Optus sold many phones and still do which don't support the 2600Mhz band.

  • I'm a bit confused, this is an Australian seller (Quality Deals Australia Pty Ltd) so this should be a GST transaction even if it's a grey import. But there is no mention of a tax amount on the order confirmations from paypal or ebay?

Or do they send a different invoice?

    • So's Kogan Australia Pty Ltd but they're grey with no GST

    • I think the thing with most grey sellers is that you are actually the one importing.

  • Hey guys. First time poster.

Just bought this phone and was wondering if it'll be okay to use with Vodafone in Melbourne. Or possibly amaysim as I might be changing when my contract ends next month.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Anyone know what charger we need to get "fast charge" for this phone? Also wireless charging

    • +1

Qualcom quick charge 2.0 for “fast charge”.
      QI wireless for wireless charging.

  • Is it better than oneplus two or one?

    • +1

Better by about 10 times , few reasons :

      Better screen
      Better camera
Better processor - though slightly less powerful , 808 on G4 is better at handling stuff
Has NFC - will be useful once android pay goes live
      Better support
      No f-ing invite system
      No grounding issues
      No utilitarian design like 1+2

      • I compared LG G4 , Sony Xperia Z2 and One Plus 2 almost swayed to buy Z2.

Z2 specs still quite top-notch considering the publication date (April 2014) and it use @1080p which mean much longer battery life.

        • Z2 is a very potent device . . my only gripe is the colour quality of the display , it is a bit muted to my tastes

Z3 has corrected it by miles

What's the price difference between the two

        • @kamban:

          Around $ 70

But Xperia Z3 screen is very fragile

      • +2

        sold! & thanks

        • Good choice mate, if I didn't have a nexus 6 , I'd have gotten one for myself :)

  • Is there any cashback rewards? Also is it possible to claim tax return with this phone?

    • grey import,nope

    • Cashback rewards are available
