Nexus 6P 64GB Silver $799.99 (+ $60 Membership Required) @ Costco

510

Hi all,

Costco are currently offering the Nexus 6P 64GB at a $90 discount promo from their standard price (previously $888).
This is the cheapest Australian price I've seen for the 64GB yet.

Notes:

  • The price may come out to $798 for you, but my receipt shows $799.99
  • Discount may not be loaded into the system yet, but at least for me, someone was able to organise the offer manually at checkout for me
  • You will require a Costco card to shop at Costco/purchase. This is $60, but is refundable at any time should you choose to do so.

  • Does it come with the B2 Talkband like at JB and HN?

    • No B2 Talkband. I looked at reviews for that, I don't think it's particularly useful. It tries to be both a headset and a watch, but ends up being too big for a watch and a somewhat awkward headset. Resale value will be low as many people will be looking to sell them off.

      • +2

Resell value is about ~$80-100. Better than nothing!

I got my Nexus 6p 64gb through JB HiFi for 843 including Talkband B2. Sold the Talkband b2 for just under 100 including shipping on eBay

        • @djc926: is the huawei band any good? I have not seen any reviews

        • @DaTa:

Not sure. I never intended to use it. I sold it sealed and unused.

        • Very nice! I plan on doing this sometime next week

Anyone know what the Samsung U6400 TV normally retails for at CostCo? Voucher says $400 off but as usual they don't tell you $400 off what price…..

    • When they do that, it varies by store or state or whatever.

    • If anyone is going to canberra costco, please post this price and the D3300. Thank you,

    • +1

It's $2,699.99 for the TV after discount.

The D3300 is 679.99 after the instant rebate of $120.

This is from Melbourne Costco Morrabin.

      • Wow, its $2500 before the 10% code at BL.
D3300 is $250 with codes and amex at HN.

  • Anyone know what the Nikon Cameras cost at Costco? could be a good price along with the nikon cashback at the moment https://promotions.mynikonlife.com.au/dslrcashback

  • Anyone gonna try to price match this @ OW or JB?? If ya's succeed, let us know!!

    • Do officeworks sell this phone?

      • Officeworks, no; JB Hifi, yes.

    • Heading to JB now to try :)

      • +3

Done and done, got a price match and a $5 discount. Good deal considering the 32gb is $50 cheaper outright!

        • My store wouldn't do it! Gonna head back with your receipt otherwise might head to Greensborough myself :p

        • @ryanj: The guy who served me in Greensborough was pretty good about it, no questions asked just price matched and took $5 off when I said I would purchase and return a working phone (he said don't bother).

        • @Elderlymango: When I asked in Melton the guy flat out said they don't price-match on them before I even mentioned where I wanted to price-match to

        • @ryanj: That's pretty bad service. Bit of a drive from Melton to Greensborough, guess it comes down to how much you want the phone at this price. I've come from a Samsung S6 (got from work) but the battery life and Knox drove me up the wall. I can say that from what I have done with it so far, I'm happy with my choice.

        • @Elderlymango: Gotta head to Costco to get it for the cheap price, may as well drive to Greensborough and get it from JB. Coming from an iPhone 5S

        • @ryanj: I dare say the warranty will be better from JB. My fiance has a 5S, the thing is always running out of battery.

        • @Elderlymango: Hating the walled garden of Apple now, and the battery is so atrocious! Thanks so much for the help and the receipt! I saw a nice case on Amazon the other day for the 6P if you wanted it, http://www.amazon.com/dp/B015P62CBI/ref=tsm_1_fb_lk

        • @ryanj: Not a problem, hope you can get it matched. I picked up a case from ebay a couple days ago while I waited for a deal to pop up. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/171987324562?_trksid=p2057872.m27… Seems good enough, and for the added screen protector it was a no brainer.

        • @Elderlymango:
JB may have a warranty but Costco has a refund policy.
Up to you what you think is better.

        • Excellent news! Gonna head to JB in Hornsby tomorrow & try to price match with Costco Auburn! Thanks OP!

        • @SuiCid3: Very good point, although I don't have a Costco membership to start with so I'm ok with the trade off.

  • Do they have the 32gb?

    • 32GB is $744 from Virgin Mobile…

I just bought the 64GB version From JB Hifi in Perth. Can't use Costco for price match as Perth Does not have a store here.

But I've done some rough calculations.

After price match of $880 (Ozbargain post previously quoted this price with Receipt),
-minus $50 trade in of old nexus 4 (working condition, cracked rear glass backing),
-minus 7.5% off JB hifi Voucher purchase through work,
    -minus tourist refund of 11%,
-minus the sale of the FREE Huawei Talkband B2

    Total Cost approx $550.

    Happy days :)

    • TRS refund is only 9% buddy! Sorry to burst your bubble there! Still, great deal you have there!

      • **OOps, misinterpreted the "divide by 11" for 11%. Thank you!!

I think you are correct with the 9%. But why does their website state 11%???

        How much will I get?
        You will be refunded:
the total GST (price you paid divided by 11), and/or
the total WET (14.5% of the price you paid for the wine)
on all of your eligible goods.

        • It's actually 9.09%, as you divide the price by 11. They are just telling you how to do it! Some people think it's the price divided by 10 to get 10% GST.

e.g. You paid $1, you get back 9 cents, as the original price is $0.91 + $0.09 GST.

You legend, reminded me I can use the missus' gift cards through work. Works out to $697 for me without taking off the Talkband

    • Jb HiFi have been selling the Nexus 6P for $848! You could have squeezed another $32 out of them!

  • Please would anyone know how much the onkyo sound system goes for?

  • Was looking at this phone as it reminds me of my old HTC one m7.
What put me off is the pure size of this thing and the low screen brightness which has been brought up in reviews.

Anyone care to comment from personal experience?

  • This could be had for 744 for the 32gb from virgin.

  • found out there's no IR Blaster in the 6P, thinking it might be a deal breaker :(

  • Can anyone confirm that the 32gb and 64gb has different LTE bands?

  • Does it come with Huawei case and earphones ?

    • Not for me. I hear the earphones are terrible though, and the case doesn't last very long.

  • Does anyone have photos of the actual product and price at Costco please? I went in to north ryde, Macquarie and both chatswood JB Hi-fi stores in NSW and was told multiple inconsistent things. Some say they don't price match receipts, some said they don't price match Costco, but some did.
    Anyone have any solutions?

    • Go to one that says they price match Costco? It's really a store by store thing, see how you go. JB had a promo where you could trade in any old phone (even an old Nokia) for $50 off, you should check if that's still running.

  • Went to the Greensborough store today. used Elderlymango's receipt and got a price match, really good deal, very happy with the phone :)

    • Tried taking the receipt to the jb store on Elizabeth St Melbourne today and was told they don't accept price match from Costco.

I tired to price match at my local JB at Watergardens as well, they simply said $925 is the lowest they can do and that "theres nothing in it". Try your luck at the Greensborough store. take @Elderlymango's receipt http://i.imgur.com/pEpD4p2.jpg and ask them for a price match. Greensborough guys were pretty cool about it. I just showed them the receipt, they ran some searches on the number and said "they'll do it". It is a bit far from the CBD. but its probably your best shot at getting this price. best of luck.
