Didn't you read, James clearly said that there was no mic. And that the deal was useless to him.

    Review: "VERIFIED PURCHASER
Excellent sound but ergonomically very poor7 June 2016
Prosdesigned for apple products, great sound, stylish, value for money
    Consergonomics, no detachable cords
Yamaha stands true to its reputation with sound quality and output. Hearing your favourite songs through the headphone gives you a truly great experience. The headphone looks urban and stylish with the trademark tuning forks logo to show off.
However your ears get soar within 30 mins of wearing it and starts to feel very uncomfortable as the cushions crush onto your ears . Eventually I had to return the product and get a refund. Its ironic that Yamaha could not get the ergonomics right. :( "

I bought a pair of these about a year and a half ago. I did do some research prior to buying and the most common criticism was that they hurt your head. There were a few people who said that they had average heads and the cans were still comfy so I gave them a go.

My head is at best average size… and they hurt me.

I tried to stretch them a little and over time they got reasonably comfy… and I was really happy with the sound (not that I'm a major audiophile).

However after about a year's worth of use the hard plastic top band started cracking….. and shortly after that the connector started playing up (could only hear one side of the headphones, depending on how they were plugged in).

    They have been tossed.

So… unless you've got a really tiny head…. I would suggest that you skip these.

Thanks for the warning. These were in my basket for 9 hours.

Are these actually the Pro 300 series? I don't see anywhere, where it says 300?

Are there different models of these cans?

I am seeing Yamaha HPH Pro 300's sell for $220 + elsewhere?
