Costco - Electrolux Ergorapido 18V Stick Vacuum $189.99 - Membership Required

Seems like a good deal for this stick vacuum. I think it retails usually around $299. Seems to have the CHOICE May 2016 award. Details of vacuum on Eletrolux site:

i bought one about a year ago for the same price (at HN?) its a good vacuum for a small flat with laminate floorboards, but i think if i could I would prefer something with a little more umpf.

There is a rotating brush that is quite helpful for carpets (long hair does get tangled in it) and the battery life is ok, i suggest emptying the bin after every use to preserve power and because it is quite small

when using it as a hand held, the nozzle is awkward and not really adapted to much so a bit disappointing if you want to use it for the car or small spots, okish for sucking vents or the base of a window

I had this, was good enough for laminate floors. However the battery life reduced to nothing after 18 months. Switched to Dyson DC59. It is a different beast, and worth every dollar. I would wait for another Dyson V6 sale and get one when they are around $270.

  • Costco specials suck generally. $300 off a fridge? What was the original price? How much is it now? WTF?

  • Had this unit and battery last about 2 years. Can buy new batteries from eBay but you have to pull apart unit to fit them. Got the dyson DC45 but find it annoying that you have to hold the trigger. Dyson is a bit overrated and overpriced.

  • Good vacuum, had ours for at least two years and still going strong, although we have a proper vacuum for big jobs and only use this for quickies (cue Chaucerian Bawdy)
