  • Website not safe according to WOT.

  • I've got the 6980 in my mediacenter and run foxtel hd through it (via satellite). runs great.. not sure how this one is "more stable and powerful" though. I've never had 1 issue with mine, been running since September last year.

so having said that.. if this is anything like mine - it's a great purchase. I spent over $200 on mine.

  • Yes Website is not safe

  • America has different tv signal than australia, so is better to order australia versions

    • I don't think it matters as TV Tuners have the ability to scan different frequencies to work in both America & Australia.

Seems like a good deal but not a "bargain". If it were <$100 then I'd be interested but I don't really understand why a $150 TV Tuner card is on OzBargain. Just my 2c

  • Its DVB-S2 for Satellite use. S2 means it also does HD channels.

DVB-T = Terrestrial - Free To Air tv etc

DVB-C = Cable - Foxtel etc (not via satellite)

    Americans use ATSC.

This is actually a decent price for a dual DVB-S2 PCI-e tuner, but there's not really any demand for it in Australia, unless you're running a dodgy foxtel sharing setup on a mediapc :P
