    1 like = 1 prayer = $1 spend = 1QFF point

Been doing this for gift cards and credit on eBay too for awhile, ie Woolworths ones

    • Why you buy Woolworths Gift Cards when Qantas Store at Woolies is 2 points instead of Ebay's 1 point? Thanks

      • +2

$240 credit at Woolworths for $200 eBay deal, get points. Then use credit at Woolworths online and get more qf points

        • Got it thanks, well played. So you still get QF points at Woolworths for a voucher order / ie; no card transaction!

        • Where are you finding the $240 credit Woolworths gift cards?

          • @over56: When it comes up on ebay

          • +1

@over56: It's a periodical thing they only release for limited times every 3-6mths on Woolworth's eBay store. $170 credit for $150, the $240/200 mentioned, and a higher one like $350/300 or similar.

I've been doing this with velocity since cashback stopped. Have accumulated a few points this way

Fyi I discovered using the savable chrome extension

    • How does that work?

      • +2

You tell them everything you're doing online while they offer incentives to lose money.

  • Not valid if you pay with ebay gift card I suppose?

    • +2

Yes it is. I bought an Apple Watch at $620 and used $450 eBay gift cards and I got 620 QFF points. Be interested to see if you can double dip, ie buy gift cards, get points, buy item with GC, get points.

      • Awesome thanks for sharing

        • +5

Be interested to see if you can double dip

Can confirm you can double dip. Personally bought gift card, and other items with said gift card. Recieved points for both transactions. Only caveat is purchases have to be made in .au ebay to be eligible for points so would rule out buying bulk GC via eBay UK/US/Spain/Germany sales.

          Pretty cool otherwise.

How can CashRewards and ShopBack cop out of eBay kickbacks claiming eBay pulled the pin when QF never changed their offering to start with?

Surely QF aren't doing this to show how good they are.

    • maybe they are still under old agreement that hasn't expired yet?

    • +2

The EPN (eBay Partner Network) consists of cashback partners and loyalty partners. eBay AU have temporarily suspended partnership with CR/SB and all other cashback websites. However, 'loyalty partners' such as Qantas and Velocity have not ceased partnership and thus continue to offer rewards.

eBay did tell me that they plan on bringing back cashback partners later this year ;)

      • Perhaps they are trying to see if it affects sales?

        • Doubt it as the cashback companies were getting <1%

          • @Clear: I meant I wondered if Ebay have removed this to see if affects Ebay sales.
I suspect it won't & hence Ebay will save some money.

            • @Gaz1: Compared to Flybuys, Velocity and Qantas they would have lost very little with cashback sites. The rates being paid out to cashback partners was so low I don't think it was even worth it for them to bother.

              • @Clear:

Compared to Flybuys, Velocity and Qantas they would have lost very little

eBay makes money from spending incentive programs like this because they change the marks behavior with no awareness on their part. They are not losing money.

  • Ugh, I just bought a RTX2080TI off ebay… that's 2000 points I won't see :'(

    • I hear ya… just bought a 75" tv off eBay. Goodbye points :(

  • Anyone else find that Velocity hardly ever tracks Ebay purchases? I gave up after a while.

    • +4

Takes a long time, but it has worked for me. Make sure you login to velocity first, because it doesnt actually ask you to login when you click the estore button

    • Have always tracked mine!

    • Same. Velocity never tracked…. Qantas always did.

  • How long does it take for rewards points to show up in your balance?

    • +1

Purchases I made in December are just turning up now, so it seems 2-3 months

    • +1

Has usually taken 31 or 32 days for me.

  • Thanks for the reminder - I've bought an accumulative $500 on eBay since Cashback stopped and completely forgot about this :(

  • Can these offers be stacked with multiple browser tabs or windows?

    • Well maybe, it’s certainly not as restrictive as the rewards process from cash rewards, you only needed your eyes to look off screen for a moment and those buggers deny payout.
That said I’ve been trained to be so careful now that I use Internet explorer so there is no chance of adblocking/cookie mischievousness.

  • +3

Used to be 2 points per dollar :(

    • True this isn't really a deal, its been ongoing and has been a lot better. I remember as much as 6 points during promo time.

      • Yea I remember that those were the good days

  • Do you still receive Flybuys as well?

    • +2

Yes receive both, flybuys are 100 times more valuable than the qantas points that accumulate! I only use the qantas mall to keep my account ticking over since cancelling my woolies card

  • Wonder if I can double-dip with flybuys?
EDIT: Never mind, pretty much not applicable to Ozbargainers: "Qantas Points will not be earned on purchases that include any voucher, coupon or discount code that is not sourced from the Online Mall platform.

    • -1

Definitely double dips, both accumulate. Don’t read too much into those terms as flybuys accrue at the back end with a deal done with ebay directly. Discount codes also work in my experience.
The qantas points accrued are worth approx half a cent per dollar spent on ebay. That is for non flights so essentially Worthless for your time taken to redeem and wait 3 months.

    • Yes you can

  • -7

This deal isn't new, I got 1 Point per $1 spent a couple months ago while buying accessories for my phone?

    • do you know what a negative vote is used for?

      • For feeling important I guess

        • while contributing nothing in return, to add onto that

          • -2

@Pricebeat: Happy to contribute to clarify questions here, this isn’t a deal, it belongs in the forums.
You are reminding people of a deal they already knew and
By any measurement it is worthless.
            No deal

            • @[Deactivated]: So you are a ghost account?
Clarify questions? Do you work for ebay? If not then that’s not contribution. Your contribution is negativity with nothing in return. Not even a single link to a better active deal.

Post a better alternative that makes this post worthless? There have been many deals posted again after their expiry. it’s stated in deal posting rules that deals are allowed every 6 months. Where have you been living

  • does anybody else have issues with qantas store tracking ebay purchases? only half of mine turn up

    • Yep. But it's slightly better than virgin VFF that don't track at all

      • Yeah I didn’t have much luck with velocity

  • Qantas keeps sending me to the US ebay and not the AU Ebay? Where everything is in US dollars?
