64 Ferrero Chocolates (Ferrero Collection) For $13 Delivered. Best Before 1st July 2011 ALL SOLD

2190

I declare myself an employee of Harvey Norman.

Not interested in spamming all the different daily deals, this one just seems to have slipped under the radar because it's not a "BiG BUY". Price has dropped on these chocolates from $28 to $13. The only caveat is that the best before is the first of July, which is why I put an expiry on the deal of the first of June.

EDIT: So I didn't realise that Ozbargain loves chocolate as much as I do! We've sold about HALF of the stock we have, so if you're holding back we're probably going to sell out at this rate within the next 24 hours.

2ND EDIT: We've sold about 95% of the stock! Assuming will be sold out by sometime around breakfast, guess it just depends on the number of nights owls :) Thanks for your trust and business everyone! If anything else comes up that I think is truly worthy of a post I'll put it up, but it'll probably be rare. If you want to see what kind of stuff we're offering go to the Twitter, Facebook, RSS or Email link on the page, or just keep an eye out. Thanks again Ozbargainites have a good one :D

FINAL EDIT: All gone. Don't know how to say sold out so changed the expiry.

wtf. HN selling choccies. Whats this world coming to?

    • +3

      This would explain why:

      http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2011/04/harvey-norman-big-buys-is-…

(it's not actually Harvey Norman, it's another company that has licensed the name)

      • +5

Like most Harvey Norman stores, BiG BUYS is a franchise. The reason why you don't see the regular Harvey Norman stuff like electronics and furniture is because HN wants to avoid taking business off current franchises. Hence the random selection. Trying to work out what people want that HN doesn't currently sell.

    • +1

This will add to my waistline, I got one. Good post

  • +1

I didn't realise all of the past buys, plus others, were still available when clicking on "More Buys" I just assumed the ones you had left were listed along the bottom of the screen which is perhaps why this has gone under the radar!?

EDIT - Perhaps you can also feed back to the IT people that they've spelt NT incorrectly, "Northen Territory" on the "Help" page under the subtitle "Will My Items Be Delivered To Me?" which I also think should probably also say "When Will My Items Be Delivered To Me?" :)

    • +2

I'm not an official representative, but there are a whole bunch of things going on to change the layout and improve the way the site works and feels. For the moment though, enjoy the randomness!

    • +2

Thanks for the pick up. Fixed

      • +2

        That was pretty quick!

  • +3

24 pack is $17 at coles.

Picked myself up some thanks :)

    • +6

never buy them from coles - 30 pack is usually around the $12 mark at big w/kmart/target with specials on them frequently (got them at $10 last week) - still a good deal from HN, especially if you want variety

  • +1

This was posted before but I did not know it was still going
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/42874

    It says

Limit of One 2 pack per Customer! At this price, it has to be!

So those who ordered last time probably can not order more

    • +1

      Feel free to order again!

  • +1

It tells me that the limit is 2x per customer

but when i try to add two to the cart it says unable to order in that quanitity. not good.

    • +1

On the page where you can select the quantity it says "Limit x 1" for me and in the description it says "Limit of One 2 pack"

I can not see where it says the max quantity is 2

    • +1

      To clarify Rob,

The description is "Limit of One 2 pack per Customer"

Sorry it isn't clear, there are two 32 packs, I'll work on the wording

EDIT: I can't respond to these any further down the chain, but the banner has been changed :-) You might like to check the name of the image

    • +2

It says the limit is 1 x 2 pack per customer, so adding 2 will not work

Also, is this a use by or best before date? I purchased anyway, but there's a big difference between the 2 - I'm pretty sure it will be a best before, but confirmation would be nice :D

      • +1

Good pick up. It is a Best Before! You'd think that I'd pick up on that being the resident nutritionist

        • +2

You might want to update the title to reflect it's a best before - people are scared of expiry date or use by :P

  • +1

When can we expect to recieve the chocolates by if we order today ?

    • +2

my purchase confirmation claims they'll be sent within 3 days, so I'd guess 4-7 days arrival, depending on your location, at least that's what I assumed

    • +1

Check out the help page for estimated delivery times http://www.harveynormanbigbuys.com.au/Help.aspx

The rule of thumb here is ALL deliveries are sent within 3 business days. Then how long it takes depends on where you are and Australia Post

  • +2

    nice deals..

    • +2

yeah your counting it wrong lol. 8 rows of four (or 4 rows of eight) in each box = 32
      32 x 2 boxes = 64

EDIT: gandhi28152 must have realised his mistake and adjusted his comment before i posted…

      • +1

        Figured. Thanks for clarifying :-)

  • +2

awesome. Ordering this for my work office!

    • +2

awesome. Ordering this for my play office!

  • +1

Very tempting. But try to reduce chocolate consumption at the moment as having too many Easter eggs - -" But, it is very good deal, gotta let my friends know about it. Thanks for posting.

    • +3

Meh ~ bought it away. Then, will wrap and give to gf. She will be thrilled to see that many choc :-D

      • +2

:-) We all cave eventually. Had my pack sitting on my desk for a week taunting me

      • +2

        That's great!

  • +2

    awesome, good buy

  • +1

    Thanks for Sharing!

  • I bought some stuff from 1-day before and they sent me stuff that is past the Best Before date.
It also had markings on the box that says not to be sold outside of Vietnam. You might be getting stuff like
    that as well.

    • +3

It's definitely Australian (well, made in Germany but Australian distributor) and it's definitely not past it's best before. I may or may not have gone through an entire pack last week…

      • made in Germany.
        sounds great.
bought one a couple of hours ago.

  • +6

It's only May, Best Before 1st of July is not even 2 per day. Easily done.

  • +1

    really tempting, got one! thanks!

  • +3

    This deal is evil!

  • +1

    bought 1, good stuff!

  • Love Ferrero Rochers :)

  • +6

you could probably pick up approx 64 oranges (at about $2-3/kg) for about the same price.
    Not as much fun though

    • This made me LOL. Thank you :)

      • +1

Orange you glad he made the suggestion? (yes its a dad pun)

        • +2

marriage is a lot like an orange.
First, you have the skin…then the sweet, sweet innards…

        • +5

Why don't you pull up a chair and citrus self down? We might be a while with all the orange jokes…!

    • Hey Orange……

      • Hey Apple !

  • +1

    Got it :D

  • +1

Got a month and a half to eat it? What are you doing to me?! :D

  • +1

SPAM! Just kidding. ;) Great deal, thanks!

    • +2

As a long time lurker, I love this site and don't want to post unless I think it's beyond the norm. Obviously prices are always great ;) but sometimes they warrant some Ozbargain love :) :)

  • Just FYI for anyone wanting to send one as a gift, I bought two (one for me and one for a friend) by just going through the checkout process twice, using the same credit card but different shipping addresses. Whether or not they reject the second order remains to be seen!

    • +2

We keep an eye on this stuff, but we don't reject it. Happy gifting :)

  • Just bought 1, good deal. And how bad I missed the golf set :( Hope you guys have more excellent deals.

    • +2

Thanks for your business! Keep an eye out re: golf clubs. That deal was more popular than we had imagined it would be and we will probably be running a similar promo in the near future :)

  • +2

I don't think I can be diagnosed with diabetes a second time… so what the hey, great deal! Just grabbed some :)

  • +1

What's the ETA? I'd love to have these by Saturday as I'm hosting a shindig.
    EDIT: To South Australia!

    • +2

:( I REALLY want to make that promise. But I can't. Australia post suggests 5-7 business days for delivery to South Australia from our warehouse and we can't get around it.

      • +1

Np. I'll place an order anyways and hope for the best. Thanks for the quick reply :)

  • +1

i don't even eat chocolates w0w… bought for the festivities here :D

  • +1

And I declare this a good deal.

  • +1

Just bought one for a friend and another for my tummy…yum yum

  • +1

done. i like that it's a good deal. i don't like that you're going to make me fat

  • +1

    Awesome deal, thanks!
Now to celebrate the purchase I'm going to consume the rest of my Ferrero Rochers in the cupboard!

  • +1

Aww hell I just couldn't help myself and I'm on a calorie controlled diet too :(
Oh well guess I'll just have to cut back on … food? water?

  • +1

    Good deal, thanks OP

  • +1

Pretty sure that I'm don't love ferroros that much.
But wow, this is a good deal

  • +1

Man I've still got a box of 5th avenue bars from a previous deal that I haven't eaten…. still had to buy these though ^_^

  • +2

I love these and it's a great deal but I've had ferrero's close to their best before date before and they didn't have the crunch they normally do. It may have been the way I stored them but I personally wouldn't take the risk albeit only a $13 one.

    • That's why we're upfront about the best before date :) Personally I didn't notice any difference but I'm not a (let's see if I can do this without googling the spelling) connisseur? That doesn't look right. In any case, thanks for the feedback!

  • -1

that's cool but these things are hit and miss. My husband buys European beers just before their BB when they're on special and sometimes they're good and sometimes not.

You would know when the chocolates are not at their best because they're not as crunchy as they're supposed to be so if you say they're ok they probably are, it's just like biting into a stale potato chip. No need to be a connoisseur to work it out ;-)

    • +1

ConnOisseur of course! Understandable reservations, hopefully we run something soon that takes your fancy :—)

  • +3

    Very Good offer by HN

    • You're a bit late to comment on this one. Usually you're first in.

  • +2

    Very good indeed :)

  • +1

lol oztrez been positive voting most comments?

    • +1

When they are positive yes! :)

  • +1

Very good offer from H.N thx op for your efforts!

  • +2

Socks AND chocolate?! Gerry's onto a winner

  • +4

Ive gon with the flow and put my card details into a website i've never heard of before. Lets hope this isn't some sort of scam.

    • +1

Your trust will be rewarded :) Look forward to your chocolates!

      • Great Deal indeed, just bought two as one for the gift and the other for myself ,going through the checkout process twice by using the same credit card and same shipping address. Will the order be put through?

        • It should be, but if you want to make sure they don't think it's a double up use the contact page at http://www.harveynormanbigbuys.com.au/ContactUs.aspx and just put in your basic details (name, rough time of order) and let them know it ISN'T a double up. :)

  • it should say sold out by now, coz when i went to the page it says selling fast, by the time i click confirm order it was sold out, haha. great bargain anyway

    • Sorry nb85, it happened overnight so didn't get the opportunity to change this page. Have a great day :)

    • Lol this sounds a little too familiar…COTD's CrashAThon anyone?

      • nope, similar but nowhere near

        • +1

The pace that this product sold at exceeded our expectations and identified a slight delay (10ish seconds) between our database that shows stock levels and our site. So if you're on the site and somebody JUST bought the last one, then you'll get a rejection further down the line showing no stock. Sorry! We're working to fix it, don't want to stuff anybody around!

  • damnit missed out!

missed out on the previous deal too :(

    rondnoirs ftw!

    • Facebook or Twitter are where I'm most active talking about the deals if you want to be kept in the loop, I'm sorry you missed out though! :(

      • +1

Facebook and Twitter are nothing compared to OzBargain :D

        • Everybody is important :D But our Facebook and Twitter fans are used to the daily products and I don't want to bring that over to OzB :)

      • so what's ur FB then?

  • What a great rep

    • +2

I am completely unbiased in saying that you speak the truth. ;)
