Great Ocean Road
The Great Ocean Road traces a spectacular route along Victoria’s dramatic coastline, where sheer limestone cliffs are buffeted by rolling surf, and the Twelve Apostles rise like colossal statues out of the sea. The coastal gem of Anglesea is situated between Torquay and Lorne, an ideal hub to base a plethora of adventures. Soak up the natural diversity of the area with a day trip through the rugged Great Otway National Park.

  • There are no “entrance fees” for National Parks in Victoria … a bit of a con?

    • Tour operators are required to pay $2.40 per person, per day entrance fees, which appears “included” in this deal.

  • I have to say that I was really quite disappointed by the great ocean road having done so many road trips in New Zealand. The one really amazing experience was the koalas in the Cape Otway national park but you won't see that on this trip.

How far do you go up? The best part in my opinion is between Port Campbell and Warnabool.

      • All the way to Port Fairy. After the Twelve Apostles, which is a place just full of tourists, there isn't much to see. Port Fairy was nice but nice isn't an amazing compliment.

  • Seems like reasonable value for a day trip

  • My part of the world. In terms of the transport you'd have to say that seems like decent value from Melbourne but omg. I'd imagine that mode of transport for the hundreds of twists and turns would really test your gut durability.

I went on a coach ride on the great ocean road many years ago. A passenger was sick in the aisle. There were no windows to open for fresh air. Just recirculated a/c. It was a trip from hell. Never again.

    • Bought this tour for overseas visitors. Feedback was that quite a few were throwing up during the journey and the tour guide was very lethargic. However they did get to take some nice pictures.

Also, this is the usual offer price on Groupon. When I bought it ($49), there was no compulsory tip.

since when do we tip in australia

    • always tip when it's deserved, not mandated.

      • +1

i complement people if the service rewards it..

  • They’re using Extragreen at Swanston st. Check their website. If it’s bilingual tour it cost $45, Chinese only $35 and English is $120 plus $4 tipping.
So without discount and cashback the Groupon price for bilingual tour is more expensive.

  • Pickup point is not in the description, but this is available from Melbourne only.
