        The truth often hurts…

          profound. Noted.

      How old are you jv?

      • -4

It’s just a bit of banter, chief. Relax. Besides, given the wisdom he’s dishing out, I’d say old enough

        • +2

I’m relaxed, and my comment was very tongue in cheek (I didn’t neg jv’s comment). Are you relaxed, boss?

      • +1

Old enough to know John Wayne.

        • There goes the age hint:), also old enough for OZB!

    • +6

What the hell has the age of a movies original theatrical release got to do with it being a bargain or not? It's a cheap price, even compared to previous vhs/dvd/blu-ray releases

What the hell has the age of a movies original theatrical release got to do with it being a bargain or not?

        Why aren't all new releases $7 ???

    • +1

      That's unforgiveable.

      • He dies in the end…

    • As old as Sanity. Are they still a thing in 2019? I need to get out more…

    • +1

Can you post these John Wayne deals you speak of jv? They sound fantastic.

      • +1

I got the whole collection on VHS for $5 when Movieland went under…

Lol. I always thought your profile pic was ironic. Not so sure anymore ;)

"It's a hell of a thing to kill a man".

    • +4

It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. You take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.

      • +2

You don't take away his burial plot. Or his tombstone. That's two things you don't take.

Damn, Clint Eastwood: you're full of carp.

  • username checks out

  • I have grown up with his western movies. So sad to see him in The Mule as he looks so old.

  • +4

Great film and price no matter what jv 38 says. Thanks OP.

  • +1

Plus don't forget 2.8% Cash Rewards.

  • How do you sort 4K by price?

  • If you get discs from sanity not sealed most likely are returns, as they have a generous return policy, so may have been watched already, but it’s your choice if that is a deal breaker or not

    • Mine did arrive sealed, but still something to keep in mind

    • +1

From memory the blu-rays from stores are not sealed as they put the discs in storage at the back of the store due to possible theft. The same as at JB. Those were probably directly shipped from stores so they wouldn't have been returns.

Today I learned Sanity is still around. Worked there in 2003, 2004. Great job.

    • -1

ok i guess you don't get out much these days. Sanity has been still around for years.

  • +3

Best western film ever. Not available in Netflix, if you're curious.

    • +2

Has the added bonus of human pressure-cooker Gene Hackman simmering and glowering til he finally cracks the shits like no one else can, snarling like a rabid dog. I'll watch any Gene Hackman movie just to get to the bit where he finally cracks the shits at someone, somewhere for any reason whatsoever; it's effing glorious. The criminally-underrated 2007-ish 3:10 to Yuma has garnered more repeat viewings with me than this though, and if you insist on Unforgiven being the better of the two there will be a reckoning.

    • How do you rate Silverado? :)

    • It really is amazing, it's almost an "anti-western" in that it deliberately goes against a lot of the common tropes of the genre.

Plus the climax is incredibly satisfying.

  • Clint Eastwood is meaner than Chuck Norris.

    Discuss.

  • Was able to order patriots day, still available.
