Hey, first-time poster so forgive me if I format this wrong.

Damaged my board recently and was searching around for something cheap to get me through the rest of the season.

I am still fairly new to snowboarding so don't know a lot about quality boards but this seemed like a great deal for anyone who was interested in taking it up or just beginners in general.

The price is $799 for non-club members, but after a quick sign up you are entitled to the club price of $99. I was apprehensive to purchase because I have no idea about the quality of Body Glove snowboards and couldn't find references for them anywhere. If anyone has some insight please speak up.

    That is insanely cheap. I can only imagine with a price like that you may only just see the season out. Though $799 retail suggests this is price error…

    Seems to be not a great brand. I have got already two boards and my size is 155 sm anyways.

    Lucky this sold out quick otherwise I may have ended up with a snowboard when I've never snowboarded and haven't been to the snow for over 10 years.

      I got the same!

      How is it possible that so often stores oversell and take money, then just apologise and refund? Is that even legal?

      Here’s a clear scheme on how eg. Anaconda might profit on such „deals”:
      - receiving money, even for a day, is extra $ from bank interest,
      - new store accounts and memberships,
      - attention.

        Housemate received the same message and shortly after received a dispatch receipt for the free bindings. Fingers crossed that anyone who purchased still gets the bindings sent out and this was not a total waste of time.

          And they started spamming me with offers. Makes sense, I was lured to agree to that. What a hassle.

          Most probably it’s not the case, but my point is - how (or if) it’s even allowed for sellers to offer items, take money, then cancel if convenient.

    Anaconda were loss leading the stock just to clear it out.

    I went into a local store and there were 15 on the shelf all with large bindings and brought 1 just before they were closing.

    Got home and checked it out and the board is actually a lot better than id expected as i was getting the deal for a spare set of bindings that fit well.

    The board was never marketed properly by anaconda and was made under license in china by Mphail in NZ and looks and feels just like the Burton custom other than the 4 screw binding setup.

    I phoned the local store and brought another 2 as soon as they opened the following day for friends and they put them by for me to collect later that day and they actually sold out in less than 24 hours.

    There's one going to Queenstown in August to make a little video on "Snowboarding for $99" for YouTube. Will Probably be free marketing i Guess for Anaconda and compared to the 2020 YES BASIC just to see how much a gap there is.

    There's still 1 left at Rockdale. But they scan at $200 now ($100 for the bindings and $100 for the board and no you can't separate). They will not put the price down to $99.

    Even at $200, this is a great snowboard, just come back from NZ and two guys loved them, less chatty than their Burton Custom and carve and edge really good, classic surfy rocker style board.
