  • Ouch 2 day delay on monitoring, I guess it's still better than nothing.
And this is actually I really nice deal.

Stop teasing us and give us an OzBargain special on your new plans already!

Pioneer Medium for $10.99 would be ideal.

    • +1

seems like heaps of ppl are waiting to jump back on the 10.99 deal again, i definitely would now that i'm off contract!

    • Pioneer Medium with a free sim would be just as ideal.

I really get annoyed with new offers by liveconnected, they really don't offer us to change the plan, instead asking to order a new sim with new mobile number, W**?

    • Not true. You can request a change of plan whilst keeping your current SIM and number, although there is a $16 charge involved. I've done it myself in the past.

what's really annoying is that you just censored WTF
be a man about it bro

I could understand the 48 hour delay when you guys were operating via Telco In A Box, but since you are now dealing directly with Optus, surely there is some possibility of improving on the usage meter delay?

    • I thought optus had this problem themselves too?
I had the same delay when I was with Optus.

      • I know that iSIM (previously an Optus subsidiary, now merged with Virgin Mobile) used to have almost instantaneous usage reporting via their online portal.

        • +1 for that I'm on Virgin and they update almost instantly. But their web site with usage info is slooooow =(

    I want a plan with 4gb data, $300 calls and 100 free text a month for $15-$20

    • amen to that

  • +2

Still $20 for shipping, they never learn.

  • +4

Was thinking of signing up, but $20 shipping for a sim card? I expect it to be in a gold box and hand delivered by the Prime Minister.

    • Ok. So now I feel silly. $20 for the sim card plus shipping. The world is almost right again

  • +3

Ripping people off on shipping doesn't bode well for a two year contract. Also - why overcharge people on their data usage instead of shaping? Especially since you can never meter it properly and in a timely fashion.

    • To be fair, are there any mobile service providers that currently offer 3G data shaping on a mobile service?

My impression is no, but I'm unsure (hence the question) :)

      • telstra is going to or have implemented data shapinh

  • isn't amaysim better?

    • +1

      I Think so!

      amaysim UNLIMITED
Unlimited standard national talk & text
Unlimited national access to social networks
      + 4GB data
      No lock-in contracts
      (30 day commitment)
      $39.90/ month (via optus network)
(i dont know about sim delivery)

      • +1

Amaysim does not have $40 of international calls in their cap plans — probably worth the extra 9cents! :)

  • Still to expensive compared to Voda's $45 unlimited - not really much incentive to swap as i'm getting 10% off nrma member anyways, so i would be just getting the extra data + 1300/1800 numbers (which many people don't need). Not negging the deal, just saying this doesnt have the "WOW" factor as your previous half price deals did.

    • Give us a "unlimited" calls for $20-$30 and let us add on data packs ourselves. That would be a much better deal imo.

    LiveConnected doesn't support Blackberry phones

    • And that's a reason to neg? Bit harsh aint ya.

      • -2

yes, no telephone support for it's customers and slow email reply.

        • Curious, are you a current customer?

  • What network does this run on?

    • optus
