  • Looks almost identical to the Aldi one a few months back, which was $200 cheaper

One look at the specs and you can see the NCM is superior. For starters, you get disc brakes and a concealed battery.

    • +1

      Also, I like this feature.

A built-in USB port with 5V to charge mobile phones

You can watch Netflix while you're riding to work…

      • I'll use the USB for a personal fan.

  • 36 V 8Ah 288WH

I don't think this is legal in Victoria…

    • If U look into the specs further it shows 15AH battery. I am confused which one is correct.

      • -1

I think the 288 refers to the power of the bike (watts). The 15AH refers to the energy stored in the battery… The battery size shouldn't affect the legality, but the power will…

        • I know. I don't know the legality but was think more about the capacity of the battery for longer range. It's a bit misleading to advertise 8ah in the title and have 15ah in the specification. I doubt any good reputable company would make such mistake

          • @Safoan: down the bottom of the link is says 250W

Who knows what to believe… :S

            • +1

@jv: It says 288Wh (WattHours) which is a completely different measure to 250W (Watts). WattHours are a unit of energy, whereas watts are the unit of power.

Similar to amps being a unit of electric current, and Ah (AmpHours) being a unit of electric charge.

  • OP, any deals on the Prague?

    • +2

      This is OzBargain… Try CzechBargain…

      • +1

        Actually, that'd be CzechSmlouvat.

        • +1

          SlovakSmlouvat would be cool.

    • Ha ha guys… @Bellyup is referring to Leon Cycle NCM Prague Electric Mountain Bike, E-MTB … which I'm also curious about or other eMountainBike range… OP, can you deliver? :)

  • Can max speed restriction be hacked on this?

    • Yes, when you go down hill…

    • +2

Yes, just push on the crank lever at the bottom of the seat post to hack the speed limit.

  • Hi rep,

Is the bike 21kg with the battery or without?

  • Yes , it is 21kg with the battery.

    • Impressive! Thanks rep. The only issue I have is there being no physical store in NSW. If I have issues with the new bike, ongoing repairs and maintenance, what is the best way to contact you guys?

      • +1

it looks like if you have issues with your bike you get ignored like we’ve been

  • i think i’d look like a goose (more than i usually do) riding one of these around town, that’s why i asked for a deal on the prague. no response from the rep so far. please at least make a yes or a no.

    • Bellyup, did you end up purchasing one of these? I am still thinking about it. I'd like an ebike but there are so many out there. And every shop claims their bikes to be superior. Makes my decision very hard.
