  • how much are they?

  • Bought a DC34 animal for $275. Was offered the DC34 for $249. Both from GG Preston. Coupled it with the AMEX offer:-)

    • Could you please post receipt? Would like to get one myself. Thanks

  • now to see a deal for these portable vacumm cleaner?

  • Is this in the same gift category as power tools for mothers day ?

  • Now need a good deal on the DC35.

It was $349 at HN yesterday, they have the redeem form there. Not sure if it's possible to get it down to $300-ish.

    • which HN?

      • The one on Canterbury Road (Sydney).

    • Whilst it is cheap for that unit, just remember its in the price range of a full sized miele. Just puts things in perspective.

Whilst the suction is good for a handheld, it doesn't compare to a real vacuum. The run time is 15 mins max (6mins on full power), with a charge time of 3.5 hours.

Also note the DC35 is pretty much the same vacuum unit as the DC34 - just with an extension wand & wider floor nozzle.

Oh, and the bonus docking station for the DC34 isn't available on the Dyson website as far as I can tell - so I'm not sure how they came up with the $49 price tag (and honestly, it should have been standard for the price). Still thumbs up for a freebie - mines apparently on its way already :-)

  • I have a portable dyson, the charge lasts about 2 minutes now - I have to get the cord Dyson out when doing the car. It sucks, well umm … It doesn't suck… well erm you know what I mean :-)

    • The battery dying is a concern for any device like this. I've looked into it - the replacement is $75 from the dyson website. Not cheap - but it could be worse. Thankfully these models have Lithium Ion batteries so they should last a few years.

  • Love my new Dyson DC34 (got it down to $245) and will be mailing this in. Not sure whether it's down to the super-cheap dollar figures Ozbargainers are usually after, but I'm happy!
