    Especially when they can no longer lip read with masks being used

    AUSLAN is close to British sign language and New Zealand sign language. If you look at the alphabet they are the same.

    American sign language is very different even in the alphabet, ASL uses a one hand system for this, while AUSLAN is a two handed system for finger spelling.

    Then you will get to regional AUSLAN dialects, some signs in QLD are different to Vic. From memory the sign for thirsty in Vic is horny in QLD, so you need to be careful sometimes.

  I have a feeling this one’s always free on iPhone. I’ve already got it installed and I certainly didn’t pay $20 for it. Still, it’s a decent app so worth grabbing 👌

  This has been free in the past for small periods. Currently, this is free because of combinations of International Week of the Deaf (IWD), International day of Sign Languages, and as well as Australia's National Week of the Deaf. These events happens at the end of the September.
