  • How do these compare to Mana beans does anyone know?

    • +2

Hey Joshaldino - maybe you could be the one to tell us!! :)
If you're in, please let us know how they go for you and how they compare.

      Cheers
      Dan

    • It’s $13 , give it a crack.

    • +3

These guys give Manna beans a run for their money for sure :-)

      • +3

I love Manna beans, but i am almost ready to make the move to AirJo as my go to.
So far i haven't been disappointed with the AirJo coffee.

    • I tried both. I have been a Manna fan. Placed an order last month to give this guys a crack. I personally find these guys are better in both taste and price.

btw I only tired the Pegasus Blend so far.

  • +5

Fantastic coffee and exceptional service, I can highly recommend these guys!

    • +2

      Thank you so much MrFizz!!
We appreciate your support and are thrilled that you love the coffee :)

Pulled the trigger and grabbed 3kg to 3219, as we're ploughing through the beans working from home.

      • +1

Great work Coffee Nut - will get them on the way to you asap!
Please let us know how they go for you.

        Thanks heaps.

        Same situation for me.

2019: "2kg of beans? That's way too much"
2020: "2kg of beans? That should last a few weeks"

        • +1

2019: One tonne of firewood will last us the whole winter!
2020: Two and a half tonnes is barely enough.

I think the same must be happening to my coffee consumption because I now know multiple Airjo varieties.

Which beans would you recommend for making lattes / cappuccinos?

    • +1

Hey there, we would highly recommend this one for you given the deal for to get your hands on it to give it a try. The Sumatra will cut through milk no problem and it will easily delight the taste buds through a slow brew process too.
Super confident you wont be disappointed.

      Cheers

As mentioned in the post it will take a while to get to Victoria. I ordered on the 11th, still haven't received them and auspost estimate says 23rd to 28th of September still

    • +1

Fingers crossed they turn up for you tomorrow sylon.
Always happy to help with communication with Auspost for tracking.
We also offer an Express Post option at checkout.

Hope they get there soon for you.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Thanks, still waiting here. hopefully they wont be too stale when they arrive. Tracking hasn't updated since Saturday the 19th!

    • Took ages to get my last batch, (Auspost suck) but the beans are pretty decent. On to the last 250g~ of my order.
Will look at topping it up again.
      :)

    • geez sounds like they will be stale by the time they arrive.

      • Took 12 days I think to get them to Melbourne..
In fact I ordered another item from BNE recently, a window winder… That's been nearly 12 days too and still hasn't arrived!!

      • I had the same issue regarding delivery, but OP was happy to either refund the order or send a new batch with express post. So you more than likely to get fresh beans at any stage.

    • My last order a few weeks back came within 3 days via Express. Running low though!

  • If they are roasted today, how long would you let them sit before using?

    • Usually beans develop flavours 24-48 hours after they are roasted. If they are being posted to you, you don't need to let them sit.

      • Somehow that makes sense. I wonder why? Lol

        • +1

Others suggest it peaks at about 20 days after roasting.

        • Beans need a little time to degas after the roasting process to allow the flavour to mature, IMO they're still good up to 3 weeks after roasting and will then go downhill pretty quickly from there.

          • @Ippy1: I recently found a bag of expensive beans that had been lost for a year…
they made TERRIBLE espresso, but decent cold brew!

course grind, immerse for 24 hours, and the taste is surprisingly good.

  • Keen to try this.

Which part of Sumatra are these beans from?

    • It's likely from Gayo in Aceh.

      • How do you know that?

        • +1

          They've bean studying

    • +1

Hey as01. Yes as kampret suggested below. From Gayo.
      Delicious 😋

  • Reading this post whilst enjoying a double cup of Saratoga. :)

  • Hi Rep,

Ordered 500g! What's the suggested recipe for this?

    In/Out and brew time?

    Cheers.

    • +2

Hey chuckwow - notwithstanding the myriad variables in your own coffee setup, we recommend you start with a 1:2 in out ration and extract 26 seconds on a 24g basket. You can tweak from there based on your individual results.

      Hope that helps.
      Cheers
      Dan

  • Interested to try.

What bean / blend do you guys recommend for a milk based drink that gives off a nutty / cocoa / chocolate taste? But also serves as a nice sweet smooth espresso? Not acidic/astringent.

Last beans were Inglewood's Sunset Blvd (COLOMBIA, BRAZIL, Honduras) , not sure I like their roasting. It works okay in milk but as an espresso, too sour for my taste even after following recipe.

    • +1

Hey there chillipaste - we would recommend to take the plunge and grabour "Party Pack" which is also on sale at the moment. This will give you an 80g sample of all of our beans/blends so you can lock in your favourite. It's a great way to go.

      Hope that helps.

      Cheers

Go the Pegasus blend. Thats what I'm drinking right now with the choccie taste and loving it. Currently waiting on my Twilight blend to come through for further testing :)

  • Ordered 1kg. Hopefully it arrives before my current stash finishes.

      • Thanks I’ve just done 2 orders separately and only one has been confirmed by you (order 3467) Please confirm other one as well as I’ve already received receipt from PayPal for both the orders

      • And also is their any decent deal on pods please

  • Sumatra was on my watch list so this deal is a MUST buy so even though still going through my bag of Pegasus I've hit the buy button already :)

Pegasus took 9 days to get to me in Vic so not too bad. Previous order to that took 7 days. Let's see how this goes.

  • Is this ok for aeropress?

    • +1

      Great for aeropress zrach.
Great flavours from a lighter roast and less acidity from aeropress method. Perfect combo.

      Cheers

  • Good for cold brewing?

  • We are absolutely enjoying the enterprise blend with a Bialetti Moka pot. We like a stronger taste in coffee, similar to Italian style. Is Enterprise the nicest strong Italian-style flavour, or would you recommend this one?

    • Hey zsik3115 - thanks so much for your feedback - great to hear you are enjoying the Enterprise - this is slightly more acidic than the Enterprise - it works wonderfully with a moka pot - perhaps grab a small bag and give it a go - super keen to hear your thoughts on comparing the two.

      Thanks
      Dan

  • Hi Store Rep, where are you shipping from?

  • Hi Rep! Am I able to buy 500g (for $18.93) asking for two different grind sizes or would I need to buy two separate 250g bags?

    • -1

Apologies sg89 - cant change the pricing on this one.

      • No probs - when you post do you require signature on delivery or do you allow authority to leave?

  • Great coffee! Ordered this one and enterprise blend for my friends. I love this coffee, but coffee pods do not working well with my nespresso machine. The coffee is pouring slow and sometimes stops before end :(

    • Thanks for the feedback DamonH - sorry to hear about the capsules.
Can you shoot me a message through the website to see if we can help with that.

      Cheers
      Dan

      Cheers

  • My Manna beans are just about to finish, so giving this a try.

Hope the $5 express post to Vic is worth it!

    • Good stuff whaleoilbeefhooked - express is best! - not as quick as it used to be but an important priority during these crazy shipping times.

Thanks heaps for your order - keen to hear your feedback.

      Cheers

  • Just started on the 500g Twilight Blend. Thinking whether to get this one (judging from the comments, must be a great blend) or give it a miss and get the next one.

    • +1

A classic coffee quandary pacificstorm - wait my friend - enjoy the freshness of your Twilight Blend - then come back next time for this one. Sometimes quality over $ needs to win :)

  • Hi Rep
How does it compare (bold or smooth) vs Pegasus for filter coffee. I got that last time hence using it for reference.
    Thank you!

    • +1

Hey airlie - smoother than the Pegasus and super delicious.

      Thanks
      Dan

      • Sold!
Thank you for the lightning fast reply.

  • Just ordered for my Breville oracle - anyone have recommended settings to start at for when they arrive? I ordered 3 kgs based on all the reviews man I hope I enjoy them, hating my current ones.

  • Ordered 1 kg, can I get that in 4x250gr ?

    • This would be great. I was about to purchase, but noticed it is considerably more expensive to do 4 lots of 250g.

    • Unfortunately not iamblessed. We can't change the products or pricing in the deals. Apologies.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • just ordered a 500g bag. am new to grinded coffee beans, how long do they stay fresh for?

    • Whole beans grinded when needed, you could get away with a month depending on storage.
I tend to purchase 250g bags which I can keep sealed as I go through the bags to make sure they stay fresh. 1 250g bag/week for 2 cups a day I find.

If its pre ground coffee, best to use within a week.

      • Thanks Mr Random :)

      • hmmm 500g within a week guess i wont be sleeping that week lol

        • +1

haha - in short aeezy - if you can get yourself to a point of owning a grinder and ordering small lots, you will get the opportunity to fully appreciate the difference between the specialty grade coffee that we and most roasters use vs say shelf beans from a supermarket.

As Mr random said, in the meantime, suggestion is to order small bags of pre-ground, keep it in the re-sealable bag we provide and keep it cool and out of light. This will stay freshest.

          Hope that helps.

          Cheers
          Dan
