Is this AU or US foot sizing OP. Thanks

    • +1

      AU
When you click the size chart, from the highlight/1st line it indicates AU size. Thus I think it should be AU size.

I've never understood how AU, UK and US sizing differs. Sometimes a UK 9 = a US 10. Othertimes a UK9.5 = US 10. My Lacoste have UK 9.5 / US 11. I wish there was some consistency in shoe sizing values.

        • +1

I find EU to be most consistent - I know I am usually a 43EU, so tend to work off that.

        • Why can't it just be a length measurement like centimetres or inches? That would make life so much easier than some made up and inconsistent shoe sizes…

  • These are 1 size larger than normal sizing. Normally a 11us, but got the 10us for these.

    • You mean in terms of length? I normally wear 10AU (11US, so same as you) because of foot width, but length-wise, I think I'd be okay with 9. These are meant to be wide fit, so I'm not sure which size I should go for. If it's not too much to ask, do you mind measuring the length of the shoe?

Details for this boot states sinthetic upper/leather lining?

Really, at regular price of $129.99 for non leather boots?

    • +3

      No it doesn't:

Fabric: OUTSOLE: SYNTHETIC/ UPPER: LEATHER/ LINING: SYNTHETIC

So outsole is synthetic, upper is leather, lining is synthetic.

Not arguing that the RRP wasn't fiction, but ~$34 for leather boots seems ok.

      • Great news. My bad, I missread outsole as upper and stand corrected in favour of this deal.

        Pretty good deal then.

  • Anyone tried this?

    • I have a pair of the old style chelsea boots and they're going strong. I replaced the insole - but I do that will all shoes.

      • Replaced, or just added one in on top? Or is this one not glued in and easy to remove/replace?

        • +1

Replaced. The insole (like most shoes) just lifts out.

      • Are they comfortable?

        • Yes, they're a pretty standard feeling leather boot. The leather is reasonably soft so they adjusted to my foot pretty quickly. The soles on the non-wide ones are pretty standard business shoe thickness - so not as cushy as work boots, runners, or hiking shoes.

          • @macrocephalic: Thank you, you mind me ask the fit? I currently wear one of Rivers's slip on shoes, Size 7, are they same size? Cheers

            • @Yaren24: No idea sorry. I've owned a few pairs of Rivers shoes but they've all been boots.

  • I swear by these now. They don't last as long as a $200 pair of boots - I find the soles wear out quicker, but the price reflects that.

They're comfortable and look pretty good.

    • Did you also go a size down for the right fit?

      • +1

        No, I'm a 10, and I bought 10s and they fit fine

  • There's never any 13s on OZB shoe posts…

  • +1

    That's because they're not feet….they're yards.

  • Back to 59.95

    • Yep, they probably cleared a space after >1000 clicks. I was mad enough to think I could call into the store tomorrow and just clicked for a look-see. They may not quite be RMs, but those who got them for $30 got a great deal.

      • Would they still be worth the $60, or better off getting something else?

  • Rivers site is down.
