Act like you’ve got the job. That mind set will help you next time round.

No matter how good you are, you are dealing with humans at interview time. They'll have strengths and weaknesses; likes and dislikes the same as everybody else.

Don't take interview loss personally or think, "they didn't choose me because I am {insert minority group}", which is excuse seeking. Instead, ask for feedback from the interview panel. If they say, "you were good but others were better", that tells you nothing. Try, "how can I improve next time".

    • Fresh off rejection last week :(

We had an interview for my son going into an all boys high school. The teacher said "Your grades are very good, is there anything you aren't so good at?" My son's reply "Well I'm not very good at dancing." LOL. I will never forget it.
