this looks like the only syd. metro place that's not like woop woop

    • This one was at Burleigh Heads GC

It was Sams Warehouse not Crazy Clarks, dunno why it has put that

      • Crazy Clark's, Sam's Warehouse, Go-Lo and Chickenfeed are all the same chain (the ridiculously named Retail Adventures) and generally they all have the same specials.

Past deals have often referred to all three/four. That probably created an association in the database of store profiles, or someone manually set it up that way (because it makes sense to group them together since most of their deals are across the board, even if this one isn't).

I'd also say that there's a reasonable chance the same deal is on at the others if they stock the same item.

        • It's clearance stock only at Sam's Warehouse, according to a polite reply from RAPL (head office). I hoped they'd have stock at Chickenfeed in Tasmania, but it's not to be.

    • So you call Campbelltown, Mt Druitt, Penrith & Richmond woop woop do you? I'll admit that Richmond is on the edge there, but at least it's a store that actually stocks products… Good luck finding things at the Warwick Farm store!! If you look at an actual catalogue from Sam's, you'd see that it says about half the things in there aren't available at the Warwick Farm store

Good deal - looks like a clone/knock off of the Soshine charger that DX sells for around $14 posted. Mixed reviews on it but better than hanging in with a 1st generation 'dumb' charger.

    Good find OP. :-)

    • Yeah thats what I thought. Crazy value with mains + car charger + USB + batteries too!

Getting stock may be a problem however…. There Can Be Only One.

      Huh? Highlander is the brand

      • It's also a movie :P

        • +1

that is almost an ozbb institution any time there's a deal on a highlander product

  • It's mains as well right?

      Input:
      100-240V AC, 50/60Hz

That would be a positive ;)

  • has anyone used one of these (or the clones) before? I know it has a sweet price but don't want a dodgy charger to fk up my precious eneloop batteries. Yes I know if I want the good stuff I should fork out the money for a Maha or something similar.

  • None available at the Cairns store.

good charger, even at full price its cheap. 4 individual circuits and delta V shutoff, no way you can buy anything close for $50. Much better than the $30 dumb chargers offered my duracell or energiser.

  • None left in SA :(

Bought 1 tonight at Cannon Hill Sams (Brissie). A few left.
Manager was surprised it was on special.

Note there are 2 types (Both take AA & AAA batteries.):
    *KCR-A099/AA with 4AA(2000mAH) batteries is $3 more
    *KCR-A099/AAA with 4AAA(700mAH) batteries

LCD display shows simple bar graph of charging of each battery.
USB cable, car adapter & mains cable plug into rectangular charger with built in mains adapter. 50min to fully charge the included AAA(700mAh) batteries.

  • Did anyone in Vic find these?

  • heaps of these at Springwood, QLD store (maybe 20+). I picked one up this morning.

What the best place to get cheap AA rechargeable batteries from?

  • Already a problem - it thinks it has a battery inserted, but there isn't. Disconnecting from power does not reset this issue. So now it has 3 working charge slots.
Description of operation is up to usual Chinese standard - confusing.
Turns out you can press the Refresh/Charge button to change between these charging options.
Build date: Sept 2009! Been on the shelves a long time!!
Top up charge seems high as the batteries are far warmer than I would expect, which may wreck batteries.
So, avoid these chargers!!! (Revoked my +)
