  • I am waiting for Logitech Fold-Up Keyboard for iPad 2 on sale.

Logitech online sells it for half price at $89.98

    http://www.logitech.com/en-au/tablet-accessories/keyboards/d…

Believe you guys can beat that price

      • What about the G-19?

Amazon have it for as low as $145 (but shipping kills it). Any chance of getting the price further away from the $200 mark?

        • I have a G19 and honestly avoid it.

If you do any sort of overclocking or have a crossfire or SLI setup the keyboard becomes unbearable to use. The LCD screen actually interrupts the keys being pressed and actually gets so bad you will get a 50% success rate.

Very bad design, and i have heard it happening in normal setups as well (Granted nowhere near as prominent)

        • +1

And IMO if you are planning to spend more than $100 on keyboard,
          Why not buy mechanical keyboard?
It's way way better to type on. I have one and it's great.

      • +1

BC, when will you start another round of huge "discount"?

i am keen to have something nice from you guys for my new ipad ;)

      • Thanks a lot.

      • Hi bargaincrypt,

any idea on whether you'll get more tablet keyboards for sale? If so, what's the best price you can do?

        cheers!

  • +2

    Let the one-upmanship begin.

    • +3

      No harm in competition… :P

      • -2

No but its sometimes better to support the one driving competition not the one reacting to it

  • hi im not being troll, i just want a simple joystick has 2.0 usb port, can some1 give me a site in Australia ? there is couple on ebay but it took too long to ship here/ Thanks

    • You probably want the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro:
      http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=logitech+ex…

It's a pretty nifty stick (12 buttons, twist handle, throttle, 8-way hat switch) but it's always been plagued with reliability issues. Personally I think it's just been hit and miss as I have one that's easily 6 years old and still working fine whereas some people report issues after a few months (could be down to usage).

      • Its usage.

If you use it like a maniac with jets etc then its not going to last long you'll need a better quality joystick.

        • I used to play Lock-On religiously and even after a year's worth of hard-core usage the only degradation I noticed was that the dead zone in the center of both axis tended to shift a little or vibrate after being plugged out and plugged in, but a simple recalibration fixed it.

  • dam cheap, shits all over the G25 also..:D I currently own a G25, however have used the G27 and is much nicer to use.

Bargain price, snap it up people! Iracing / rfactor action..:D

  • what game does this work with? my son would love this, he likes racing

    • I play Dirt 3 and Shift2 Unleashed. Both very good imo.

      • +1 to Dirt 3. Bought it soon as I got the wheel (well, it was on sale for six bucks..) and loving it.

    • Heaps of games on PC, Playstation 2 and Playstation 3.

      F1 2010/2011
      Gran Turismo 5
      Need For Speed series
      Dirt series
      rFactor on PC

      and many many others.

  • +2

wait, is this xbox 360 compatible?

    • +7

no it is not. and some might tell you that you can buy a controller converter (XCM crossfire) but the fact is a few buttons will not be functional and the wheel will not be as responsive. G27 is a great wheel but if you are buying it for xbox, don't bother.

      • Any suggestions for xbox? I'm a forza guy…

        • +2

Fanatec but it will cost you an arm and possibly a leg, e.g. $500

  • +2

this is an awesome wheel!!i started to use mine for gt5 from yesterday. far far far better than my driving force gt. i paid over $170 for dfgt, but only paid less than $140 for my g27. probably the best ever buy from dicksmith :D

    • -5

      I got my G27 for $29 from dicksmith :P

      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/67702

      • +2

lol why are people negging me? alwayseric said he "probably the best ever buy from dicksmith" for $140, I was just correcting him because I got one for $29.

        • Probably because It was perceived as gloating

        • Haters gonna hate.

  • I might get this, lost my battle with Dick Smiths. A real organisation would have gone higher up (ACCC or something) than I did and got some government agencies involved in getting it for their price of $140 but I really couldn't be bothered.

I probably would now, but I think it's too late. The worker who reserved it for me has probably forgotten about the situation by now. :(

Also I'm thinking about holding off still. I expect this could even get cheaper when Logitech announce a new steering wheel. It's been a while and there due to release a new one. I expect one would probably get announced just after the PS4 with PS4 compatibility.

    • +4

just after the PS4 with PS4 compatibility

.. so any day now then?

  • +1

My friend has this and it is a very nice racing setup. Tempted to splurge $200 on it but I think it would start gathering dust after a few games and way bulky for my already cramped bedroom. A fun project would be to build a racing simulator arcade-style machine connected to a spare PC and large display setup. Alas, space limitations will severely restrict this notion.

    • +11

Uh, probably because it was below cost for them? They're not in the business of losing money.

      • +1

        Agreed

        • -4

Really? $135 is below cost? I don't expect an answer from the Rep but thanks anyway. So tempted to buy but main concern is the racing wheel will end up collecting dust without enough budget to get a good racing seat to fit on to permenantly. Do you have a bundle pack etc that comes with a seat or stand for the wheel that save us $$ buying them separately?

    • +1

      are you ok upstairs?

  • Like I ask each time, any news on Harmony Link coming to Australia?

    • Ask who Rumbaar?

There is no news or plans that we know for for Harmony Link coming to Australia and/or any of the services available via Harmony Link being compatible to Australia unfortunately.

  • Just bought it. Does anyone know where I can get a cheap stand for this. eBay is over $200.

  • Whatever! I just bought it!

  • BC are you ever going to get the Logitech drums for Xbox 360 again? I missed them at Christmas :(

    • And the guitars too!

    • they are both discontinued. we do however have some to sell at some stage in the upcoming sales

      • That sounds great! I've just registered for your newsletter. Thanks again.

  • This wheel is great for PC gaming, but not so great for PS3. It exhibits annoying centre loss issues with some PS3 titles including GT5 (search YouTube if you want to see them).

  • For anyone who just impulse bought this without actually owning any racing games for PS3 (like me), I just came across this:
    http://www.game.com.au/need-for-speed-shift-2-unleashed-limi…
NFS Shift 2 Limited Edition for $24 + free shipping, that's cheaper than ozgameshop's regular edition!
360 players, same price for you too:
    http://www.game.com.au/need-for-speed-shift-2-unleashed-limi…
PC players, haven't looked very far, but $18.98 at JB seems decent:

  • Shipping starts tomorrow. Just got delivered this morning. Haha!

  • Ordered yesterday, Item received this morning around 9:30 unbelievable fast, double box protected. Buyer from sydney

    • +1

Got mine today to replace an aging Driving Force GT, super quick and im in melb.

Thoughts compared to the DF GT:

Clutch and brake pedals much stiffer springs, some people might like that, personally I dont.

The pedal unit itself is very heavy and so is sturdier than the plastic DF GT pedals

The G27 gear paddles kind of suck, the metal levers do not provide a tactile feedback of when the switches are engaged, you only get an annoying clicking sound. When you need to downshift very quicly this can be an issue

The G27 wheel spins very freely and fast and without noise, very nice for catching oversteer

      • I reckon you will soon get used to the paddles, mate. I reckon they are the ducks nuts.
The pedals don't seem stiff to me either. I reckon you will soon get used to them too. : )

  • Bought it thinking it'd work with all my existing racing games, silly me. :P

Here's a list of games it works well with so far:

    • DIRT 2.
    • Live for Speed.
    • GTR2 (I can't get clutch working.)
    • NFS Undercover (Required a mod/patch.)
  • Rep, when will you have UE TripleFi 10 in stock?
