The $3 bonus will show as pending in your Cashrewards account immediately upon activating the offer (no confirmation email is sent). This will be automatically approved within 7 days of the gift card purchase being approved (as per the terms). $3 Bonus Promo Terms - please read carefully - it will save a lot of questions:

    A reminder of the process to unlink your card from True Rewards if you wish to do so:

    1. Go to payment for another gift card.
    2. Go to checkout - you'll see your card details just before hitting pay.
    3. Click the bin icon and it will be removed.

          I believe the Amazon GC's regular cashback is capped at $3. This promo is for a bonus $3 cashback on top of normal cashback. So it does end up being 11%.

      Stacked with the ShopBack $3 bonus cashback on $15 spend deal it's at least $6.30 (21%) cashback in total on $30 spend. Possibly more depending on category.

          Do you know if this was a recent change? Amazon AU's T&C says:
          "Your Amazon.com.au Balance cannot be used to purchase other Gift Cards. Gift Cards cannot be reloaded, resold, transferred for value or redeemed for cash, except to the extent required by law. No portion of your Amazon.com.au Balance may be transferred to another Amazon.com.au account."

            @Alinnia: If true, that would be a very recent change. I used Amazon gift cards to purchase an Uber gift card about a month ago.

            I guess it's up to someone to see whether the system actually blocks them from using Amazon gift cards to purchase other gift cards.

              @WookieMonster: Wouldn't be surprised if it's simply because Amazon AU's T&C is outdated. I just noticed that near the top of that page it says "Last Updated: October 8, 2019".

              They really should keep their T&C up to date as much as possible to avoid causing confusion…

                @Alinnia: Ahh good point. It could also be that Amazon haven’t properly stopped you from purchasing gift cards using Amazon gift cards.

                Having said that, I took another look at the T&Cs you linked to me, and the way it is written makes it sound like you cannot use an Amazon account balance to purchase other Amazon gift cards, but it doesn’t specifically prevent you from using an Amazon account balance to purchase non-Amazon gift cards.

                • Gift Cards are defined in paragraph 1 as Amazon.com.au Gift Cards.

                • The statement you quoted was:

                Your Amazon.com.au Balance cannot be used to purchase other Gift Cards.

                Considering it is only referring to Gift Cards (which is specifically defined as Amazon.com.au Gift Cards), there is nothing in the terms from stopping you from using an Amazon gift card to purchase an Uber gift card, Ultimate gift card, Netflix gift card, Apple gift card, etc. As we all know from the debacle where JB Hi-Fi originally did not allow you to use JB Hi-Fi gift cards to pay for a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series S/X pre-order, a business must clearly call out any restrictions of a gift card in its terms and conditions. If Amazon decided to block you from using an Amazon gift card to purchase a non-Amazon gift card and were using the current T&Cs, I think they would be on shaky ground.1

                On the other hand, if Amazon instead said the following in their T&Cs:

                Your Amazon.com.au Balance cannot be used to purchase other gift cards.

                I would say in that circumstance that you cannot use Amazon gift cards to purchase any gift cards sold on Amazon (at least officially), because gift cards would take on the more general meaning, rather than the specific meaning called out by Amazon at the start of the T&Cs.

      This feature is being looked at as we speak. As for the declined transactions, they're all likely promo bonuses correct? Please note that if you activate and don't shop, those bonuses will decline. It's best to only activate ones you know you're going to use. You can track all the bonus offers here.     I bought this deal but now find out that True Rewards don't have an app you can log into and access your gift cards. Their app is only for Digital Visa Gift Card users. Prezzee have a better system where you can log into their app and access all your gift cards in a wallet so you can scan them at the register when you buy something. Now I have to print out the Coles gift card kept in my wallet at True Rewards if I want to use t

        Can access the gift card via the email it was sent to. Pretty sure email was a compulsory field.

        I prefer opening up gift cards from email then having to create an account on yet another gift card system and download yet another app. Too many sign-ups and apps these days.

        I flag/star the email that contains the gift card then unflag/unstar it when it's used up. This allows me to easily find the email in the my inbox when I filter on the flag/star. Also acts as a visual indication that the email contains a gift card that's not used up yet.

          Same, but whatever. I have no idea how to buy a CR gifs card, but for $3 I probably couldn't be bothered finding out.

          With SB I've probably spend $1000's on giftcards in the last 6 months with an the promos they have been running. Mostly Amazon, Coles, things I'm going to use for day to day stuff.
