Looks like I’m late to the party… I guess that’s what happens when you decide to go to bed early.

Please note the following participating retailers are correct as at 21 May 2022.

    • The Swap gift card retailers are extracted from the images on the Amazon AU pages. Please note the version of Swap gift cards sold on Amazon AU is different to the version sold at Coles or Woolworths, as Blackhawk Network sells different versions of Swap gift cards at different retailers.

    • The Ultimate gift card retailers are extracted from the Ultimate gift cards website. Please note that Menulog was removed as a participating retailer sometime last week, but you may still see them on the Amazon AU page for Ultimate Eats or Ultimate Thanks gift cards, as these pages are out of date. I also received a number of reports from other OzBargainers since the start of this year complaining about issues related to redeeming Ultimate gift cards on Menulog, so I’m not entirely surprised by Menulog’s removal.

    Gift Card Participating Retailers
Swap Celebration ASOS, Barbeques Galore, City Beach, Deliveroo, Dymocks, Foot Locker, isubscribe, Lorna Jane, Luxury Escapes, Marley Spoon, Red Balloon, Sephora, Subway, The Iconic, Youfoodz
Swap Entertainment Adrenaline, Binge, EB Games, Hoyts, Kayo, Xbox
Ultimate Baby & Mum Cotton On Kids, Deliveroo, Michael Hill, Peter Alexander, Prouds, Purebaby, Seed, T2, The Iconic, The Memo, Toyworld, UGG
Eats Ben & Jerry's, Boost Juice, Chatime, Deliveroo, Grill'd, Hog's Breath Cafe, Mad Mex, Nando's, Ribs & Burgers, San Churro, Schnitz, Sushi Hub
Thanks Adrenaline, Angus & Coote, Edible Blooms, Goldmark, House, Luxury Escapes, Michael Hill, MyHouse, Prouds, RedBalloon, T2, The Body Shop, The Iconic, UGG, Webjet

    Thank you TA!

  • +7

Nothing happens when I enter the code.

  • -2

You can use the amazon gift card using code GCFEST to purchase the celebration gift card (CEL2022) thus like $15 credit in total

Thus your eBay GC $100 GC will be 15% off

    • +7

the celebration gift card on amazon doesn't show it can be swap to ebay?

      • Based it on https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/701569

Confirmed that you cant swap for eBay

        • It does show eBay here, just not on Amazon…

          • +15

@MiscOzB: I can confirm that the Celebration GC does not have or allow eBay.

            I bought one!

            • +13

              @Turd: Thanks for your sacrifice

            • @Turd: All good then, just pointing it out. Perhaps that's why dealbot thought it had eBay too.

        • +1

Off topic but would like to know is there currently a reliable way to source ebay GC of >5% discount? seems already a long time ago since the coles promotion

        • looks like this one does not have, but auspost one have. https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B09D323C89/

          • +1

@s12321: The version sold at Coles and Woolworths also features eBay. I know this, because I recently used one I purchased from Woolworths for an eBay gift card!

The issue is that Blackhawk Network sells different versions of the gift card of the same name (i.e. Swap Celebration) at different retailers, but not everyone is aware of that. I also had to talk to three different customer service representatives from Blackhawk Network before one of them acknowledged that different versions of the Swap Celebration gift cards actually exist.

The same thing also happens for the TCN Online gift card, where the version sold through the AGL Rewards gift card portal does not feature eBay. However, if you look at the TCN website, there is no mention of this special version of the Online gift card.

I clicked the "Apply code" button and it says it worked but when I try and checkout and enter the code it says "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.".

This is for the $100 amazon gift card and the code "GCFEST"

    • +2

What I think is that the code is already applied, since on the RHS, it already says qualifying orders: Amazon GC Promotion.

  • Is there a limit over $10 amazon gift cards when purchasing $100 gift cards?

    • In the terms: " The promotional credit can only be redeemed once per customer on eligible items. "

  • +5

The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.

  • +3

The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.

  • +8

    I’m confused

  • +1

The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.

  • +2

Can confirm it works. I clicked ‘apply code’ and had the same error as others have reported when I tried to enter the code at check out. I purchased anyway, and within 30 mins saw the promotional credit come up an another order. It looks like clicking the ‘apply code’ is enough.

    • +2

Clarifying: this was for the $5 credit.

    • +1

      As I said above:
What I think is that the code is already applied, since on the RHS under order total it says "qualifying orders: Amazon GC Promotion."

  • hit apply the code - code is successfully applied
enter the code at checkout and fails as per message above

go back to the page to click the apply button again and get "You have already enroled for this promotion, start shopping to use it"

    Giving it a go!

    • +1

      $5 came straight after order

    • you can see on the right hand side if the GCFEST promotion is applied

  • Applied code and checked out, lets see if the confirmation comes through

    • +1

Never came through. Amazon froze my account temporarily and reversed all transactions because I used a different browser… 😑

      • Reset my password, tried to buy again but said code can't be applied.

Contacted support, they said ETA for this is 2 days. Guess I'll try my luck again when it's resolved

  • Cheers TA!

Thank you for purchasing from Amazon.com.au.
Your recent order entitles you to a promotional credit which we have added to your account. This credit can be applied to your next qualifying purchase.

  • Can I use Amazon credit/gift cards to buy these gift cards (except the Amazon GC)?

    • +1

Just tested, promotional credit + amazon gift cards can be used

  • +1

Can I buy Amazon GC multiple times? or only once off?

    • Says - "Offer limited to one promotional credit per customer and Amazon.com.au account." so I doubt it.

      • Thanks

      • Can buy one gift card for each promotion, though. eg Netflix card for that particular code (NET22, I recall), get $10 credit, and then a $100 Amazon card for GCFEST, for which I got $5 credit. Effectively a 7.5% discount, obviously best used on items with zero CR/SB anyway.

  • +2

Cheers TA!! Error same as others above but a few mins after order I received an automatic follow up email stating the credit has been added to my account :)

    • +1

Yep same here, under a "benefits confirmation" email!

      • Same here!

  • +1

Did the first two promos almost an hour ago and haven’t received any credit :/

    • +3

In a desperate rush to grab the prize, the front lines are often trampled. But your sacrifice will never be forgotten

    • Did second one about same time as you, still no credit either.

  • +3

The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase

  • +1

Still needed to spend $100 for the virgin go money account. Guess this will do.

  • What gift cards can be purchased with Amazon gift card?

    • A gift card for a gift card? Very meta

      • I know u can buy PSN gift card

        • Answering your own question — even more meta!

  • Tried getting an Amazon card they dont have anywhere to add a coupon.

    • I think Amazon is closed. Grab a tent/blanket and camp outside the door to get the discount at 8am. Or is it 8:30…

  • +1

I dont need these $100 cards but at least deal seems actually achievable unlike eBay plus membership cashback offer. +1 from me to ya TA

  • any guides to what the swap/ultimate cards can be swapped for?

  • +2

I apply the code at checkout but it says invalid

  • +5

Can confirm after buying $100 Amazon GC, $5 credit arrives within 5 mins, which can be used to buy (In my example) a Netflix $100 card for $95, and if you use code "NET2022", then a few mins later a $10 credit lands on your account which can be used to buy a third gift card for $90.
Not sure if the third and onwards gift card will yield another $10 promo credit as I only bought one Amazon GC and one Netflix GC.

    • I didn't get another $10 credit for the second gift card purchase.

      • Did you apply the appropriate code at checkout for the second card, example for Netflix it's "NET2022" ?

        • Yes. Got it for the first card but didn't on the second try. Looks like it is limited to 1 per customer.

          • @zealmax: Did you try to buy 2 of the same gift card using the same code in 2 different transactions?

    • +2

Confirming that your approach worked for me, too. Got both credits and able to apply as described above.

      Thanks for posting!

    • +1

Did same also but for a swap entertainment card. Used my amazon gift card i got ftom first deal and $5 promo and got my next $10 promo also. Good deal

  • Purchased $100 netflix gift card, code received but when trying to redeem it on netflix I'm getting error saying code is not valid.. anyone having this issue?

    • Worked for me, applied the CODE: not the Card #

      • Yes I'm applying code only, not card (both says invalid anyway)

        • That's not good

        • Maybe copy and paste instead of typing to avoid typos?

          • +1

@John Kimble: I'm not typing, doing copy n paste only. Looks like i need to call Amazon/Netflix as code is still not working for me.

    • I was having issues with a Netflix gift card code a few weeks ago, and a Netflix customer service agent told me it may take up to 24 hours for the gift card code to be active.

      • Thanks, in that case I'll try again tomorrow.. so code worked for you that time after 24 hours?

        • +1

          Yes, eventually.

I waited a few days before attempting to redeem again. It didn’t work on the first two attempts attempting to add it to my account, but it worked on the third attempt. I think it had something to do with the CAPTCHA request stopping me from redeeming the gift card code.

  • +4

Keep in mind that Amazon credit can only be used on products sold by Amazon AU, which excludes 3rd party sellers, Amazon US & UK.
Also transaction paid by Amazon credit is ineligible for cashback from CR/SB.
If you are not a prime member, $5 credit is not much a saving when cashback is missing.

    • +5

they hardly pay cashback on anything anyway

      • +1

Always upsized on Prime day. black Friday, Christmas etc
Be patient and only purchase from Amazon on an upsized cashback day.

        • +1

or be more patient and never buy anything ever? doesn’t make sense to wait for every single purchase and 5% is better than 0% which is what you get on most things most of the time

          • -1

@[Deactivated]: It makes sense because I only hunt for the cheapest bargain.
Without upsize cashback, there is always somewhere else cheaper than Amazon AU
otherwise, price match from JB or 5%/10% pricebeat from Officeworks or Bunnings or Chemist wearhouse.

    • -1

I strictly use my Amazon credit (promotional or not) on subscribe and save stuff which wouldn’t qualify for cashback anyway.

      • +2

The first transaction of each S&S is eligible for cashback.
Just cancel your S&S every time when it's delivered.

        • I cancel it the moment it’s shipped :)

  • Amazon deal not working here. Same as some others. Code cannot be applied to this order.

  • -1

"The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase."

    • Same here! Already expired?

Also, i clicked on the apply code button first, and then i tried pasting the code at checkout. On the instruction it says one OR the other.

EDIT: yes, its one or the other. Checked out and in 5 minutes got my bonus

      • Got my promotional email $5 after I apply code button first. FYI.

      • +1

Thanks for pointing this out. Worked for me once I realised I'd already applied the promo via the initial link

  • Can the $5 and $10 be stacked or no? Confusing

  • +2

Selected $100 amazon.com.au card, entered code at checkout, purchased, received $100 GC in email after 5 minutes, followed a minute later by $5…
" Thanks for purchasing $100 or more of Amazon.com.au Gift Cards. In accordance with the promotional terms, we have now automatically applied a $5 promotional credit to your account which can be used on eligible items shipped and sold by Amazon AU.
The promotional credit must be used by 31 December 2022. "

    Definitely works, not expired.

    Thank you TA.

  • +1

strange, purchased $100 amazon GV at like 6:30 and its still not received/processed :/

(turns out some processing payment error, strange indeed)

    • Hi SBOB, My order is saying the same thing. Did you talk to Amazon to get yours fixed?

      • +1

Had to update payment cc. Not sure why, as I don't think the one I had selected initially was invalid

  • +11

Just purchased Amazon gift card and used the promotional credit and 10% off to buy Google GC for $85

    • What a pro.

  • I don't get the 10% of on Google play GCs. When I go to check out no discount is applied either I am not eligible or this offer isn't active yet.

    • my discount automatically applied at checkout, and it’s 10% off any custom value too

      • I have tried multiple values in multiple different browsers to no avail. I even tried a $100 figure thinking it might only apply t0 $100 purchases like the credit but nothing happens.

        • Ok figured it out. Added a new card and in addind it amazon insisted it be verified to check it was an authorised use of the card after I did that the discount appeared in the cart.

  • Can u do officework price beat for google gift card…?

    • Let us know…
