  • What are the specs of the "clever MAXTRA filter", Brita's webpage does not explain much. Is it just a carbon filter?

    • not sure, only thing i found was "The BRITA MAXTRA cartridge reduces limescale, chlorine and impurities."

  • Beat it by 10% at bunnings!

  • +2

Water filters are great, but having had one of these I can attest to how much of a PITA they can be.

The space they take, how I couldn't dispense water without dragging it forward and then had to push it back otherwise the tap would prevent the door closing (fridge design issue or placement issue, probably solvable I just didn't bother), filling it can be a hassle as well - use a jug and miss or accidentally hit something else, end up with water everywhere.

They're not terrible by any means, just a bit annoying to place properly, use and fill :)

Finally got around to installing an undersink twin stage filter a year or so ago and haven't looked back, it's fan-bloody-tastic.

Still, a + from me, price is good.
