Arghhh just got a class 4 for $20 bucks - couldn't wait for a bargain to come along - amateur move. ;P

    • +3

No harm in having a class 10 with a class 4 backup.

  • Frustration free means they removed the retail packaging and just send the card?

    • I think they repackage it so you can open it easily, instead of having to rip through that plastic that never rips…

      • That sounds like extra work for them to do, yet they discount the price by $9 when you give them the privilege?

        • probably comes in oem trays

        • You know the purpose of scissors right?

Just cut lengthways before the seams and it will open.

    • I had some glass mason jars that I got from Amazon in 'frustration free packaging'. Looked like amazon repackaged it. It was rather sturdy and very nicely packed. Still what's to go wrong with a card, it should not 'shatter' even in a plain envelope.

  • The price dropped about a week ago. Was $23.99. Not the fastest class 10 but what a price for a branded card! Had mine in the amazon cart for about 3 weeks. I normally get Sandisk, but this is soooo tempting at this price.

  • Ordered mine.. great deal thanks poster :-)

    Perfect for my GoPro. Ordered.

  • hmm I selected AmazonGlobal Priority Shipping and shipping didnt change. Good deals. Thanks op

  • even get the faster shipping at the same price
    damn, beaten by 33 seconds

Reviews when used with a Nikon are not good.
Bear in mind if you own one and are looking at this deal.
    I was a little dissappointed…

  • I have one of these http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/p_79894_Sandisk_Extreme_Pro… What's the difference?

    • 8GB vs 32GB??

    • +1

Aside from the obvious capacity difference, you have a high end Sandisk - very fast end of the class 10 range. This HP just barely qualifies for class 10. Still a fine card. Unless you shoot high bandwidth high def video, or rapid shoot 6 frames a second of 14 megapixel photos for more than 5 seconds at a time, it should be fine. What are you putting it in?

      • Yeah obviously the capacity I know about, I'm planning to put it in my DSLR Canon 550D I shoot using the RAW format which is quite large. I would be used as a back up I guess if I fill the first card up I'd go for this.

        • 550D can write only about 15MB/s

      • -2

what about 4 frames a second of 36 megpixel photos?

        • vote down? ;) idiot.

  • Time to upgrade from my Class 2 4GB card :)

  • Lovely… Cheers OP.

Camelcamelcamel shows it's always been $25 or less (except a one day spike to $34)
    http://camelcamelcamel.com/HP-CG790A-AZ-Flash-Memory-Class/p…

Don't know what the shipping to Oz has been like though.

    • Maybe I don't know how to read that site properly but I think you are just referring to the last month rather than "always".

    • and I guess that the current price messes that theory up too :-)

      • How do you mean? $25 or less - I'm sure in a couple of days it will come down from that $29 to $25 or less

Also Camelcamelcamel either only tracked it since May 24th or that was its release date on Amazon.

        • And it's below $25 again

    • Around a 50% premium charged for these few extra of MB's/sec write.

I'll hold out for $14 (6MB/sec) SanDisk card for use with my Android device.
      http://camelcamelcamel.com/SanDisk-MicroSDHC-Speed-MicroSD-A…

      • I wouldn't be surprised if the SanDisk turns out faster than this HP. Just cause it's rated for a higher class doesn't mean it's faster.

  • Sold out ?

We're sorry. The item HP CG790A-AZ 32 GB Flash Memory Card Class 10 SDHC is no longer available from the seller you selected. To see if it's available from another seller, click here to return to the item's product detail page.

    • Most likely sold out. Getting the same message.

  • Deal expired - now $29.66

    • I guess that was midnight at Amazon

  • Back up to $30 :(

How would this card work with 24MP RAW photos from my NEX-7?

  • Showing up as 29.66 with Frustration free packaging? Whats the deal?

    • +1

    • it was sold by amazon and now by Cart4deals. It seem amazon ran of stock.

Also, I believe you need to spend $25 to qualify for free shipping

  • Hi all. For anyone in the know how does a class 10 card from hp compare say the class 10 extreme 32 gb sdhc cards on sale for about $37 at:

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/73616? page=1

    • IMO HP is better. Just a comparison between the HP one here and a Sandisk extreme 45mb/s 32gb. was copying at a rate around 9.0MB/s.

Same file for the HP was around 15.0MB/s.

      • Any chance we can get a link to benchies? Or a screenshot?
Very interested to see the data with my own eyes, as I've always seen Sandisk to be one of the better/faster cards out there.

        • Read Amazon's reviews.

        • Can you briefly summarise - were the hp deemed better than sandisk ?

I too thought sandisks were.more reliable and faster than hp? Aren't the sandisk ultras a 30 mb/s and 45 for SanDisk extreme? How did you end up getting 9 mb/s

        • 30 MB/s, 45 MB/s are just meaningless burst speeds.

If it says class 10, then it just writes 10 MB/s.

  • Just ordered one. Best $22 I've spent this financial year so far!

  • up to $25 US now.

  • 50 cents per-gb class 10 should appear on ebay, if not elsewhere in the future.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/csc/i.html?LH_Price=14..17%40c&LH_FS=…

  • has it now reverted back to $25/has expired? :(

  • Does anyone know how warranty works ? Do I need to send back Amazon and pay the postage if there is some problem with the card later on ?
