Good price - I paid that for 1 some years ago.
However it bent/buckled and broke the first time I tried to test it … so wouldn't want to pay more.

Yeah, it won't hold off a person strong enough and determined enough for very long, but by that time hopefully it's done its job: a deterrent and quick warning.

We found it to be pretty good over the last few years, and the price is pretty good, delivered.

Unless you hear "that's a click out of one, a bit binding on two…"

Pardon the ignorance, what's the reference? Lockpicking?

My Google-fu (white belt) only uncovered this. And the slightly scary thing? Looking at the result timestamp, Google indexed your comment maybe nanoseconds after your finger tapped "Post Comment" ☺️

And as always, have a nice day….

      • I read that in Chef John's voice

I have ordered quite a few of these for myself and family members for travel, great for backpackers etc.

Can't fault them at this price.

  • does anyone know if you can take these on a plane. it shouldnt be a problem but i got stopped for taking a drill bit through security. i forgot i had it in the work backpack.

How do you forget taking a drill through security…

      • +5

not the drill , just the drill bit , the spinny hole maker, very small one at that.

        • Thank you for sharing the description of a drill bit that I never knew until now I was lacking in my life

        • Totally understand forgetting it. In the rush while packing I through an 8mm Allen key into my carryon pack (for removing bike pedals) and almost got arrested trying to leave Melbourne Airport for europe

Seems entirely possible. Do some furniture assembly work in black jeans, slip a phillips head drill piece into your back pocket while changing bits, wash pants. Couple days later, throw the pants on and head overseas only to be beeped at and singled out of the crowd.

        • -5

Wouldn't you notice that the pants had a drill shoved in the pocket, whilst you were washing them?

        • i wasnt even going overseas , just through domestic.

These work on home style internal doors…not so much on modern Motel doors, unless its an old school motel they will attach ok. They need a small size nib thingy in the door mechanism to attach, not the large nib thingies on e.g. motel doors with card swipe locks.

  • Great! I've been having problems with those pesky toilet ninjas.

    Just use two forks.

  • Anyone received their order? Have had no communication or anything.

Maybe the seller hopes 1000 people order and forget about their small $6 purchase?

    • Got a "Your order has been shipped" email on 3 Jan, so guessing it's now in the hands of Aussie Post. Which roughly translates to an ETA of 1 to 4 more days? Will try to remember and update this when it arrives.

    • Mine finally arrived today.

      • Thanks for the reminder, mine arrived two days ago.
