      Need to preheat the stone for a good while first, then pizza on top. Most ovens don't get hot enough tbh.

      • i've been using my pizza stone on the bbq, and gotten good results.. its no Ooni, but does the job

        • I like a pizza stone on my Kamado.

          I put my heat deflector on top of the grill, then put a grill expander on top of that, and the pizza stone on top of the grill expander. Pizza stone sits nice and high so you get alot of radiated heat, and the big gap between the heat deflector and pizza stone allows for minimal heat from the bottom.

          I want a Roccbox though

              The biggest work is not burning your eyebrows off when you open the lid

        Agree, we stopped using it. Get better results with non-stick pizza tray lined with oil.

        This has been the standard price for ages.

        • yep - found these to be a waste of time. Bessemer baking trays do a great job. Really carry the heat through the pizza base.

      LOL… that was my missus feelings on the matter, when I suggested we get one of these.

    I found a castiron hot plate is way better than a pizza stone. and it's free! you should easily find one during the annual hard rubbish collection in your area. but I have a 900mm oven, for smaller ovens, it might not be that easy to find one.

    • ye I've tried both, I reckon it's best to use cast iron because you can start it off on the stove and then move it into the oven on broil once the bottom is crispy. Especially with such a thin stone.
